    Wolverine 1000 Mile Boot Review

Just got these back today. Probably about 3 years wear on them and finally wore out the soles. They're the original soles, new insoles, original heel block and new Vibram half-soles stitched/glued on. Been great boots, the only letdown for me was the stock single leather sole, which always...

Use a customs calculator that allows you to entire what type of goods you bought (I. E., one that will look up the tarrif code and apply the correct amount. Most have been within a few dollars of what I actually paid. https://www.crossbordershopping.ca/calculators/canadian-duty-calculator

    Saphir Products in Vancouver, BC

Never found anything, and I've looked pretty hard. Leather foot, or eBay seller "shoe-shine-shop" has cheap prices/shipping to Canada.

    Motorcycles

I'd second the Tuono as well. I have several friends that have the last gen models and they all love them. The only thing I would say (and basically every Ape owner I've met says this) is that dealing with Piaggio for warranty sucks. If you have a problem, they pay out to fix the problem and...

    Dressing vs. Wearing a costume

Browse blogs, forums, websites, research and get a feel for stuff that actually speaks to you and expresses what you want to portray and then move toward that aesthetic. It takes time and I think that everyone seems to fall into the same trap you mention in the beginning.

The Shell Cordovan, non-Alden Shoe and Boot Thread

Those soles look ridiculously thick -- like even thicker than normal double oaks. Can't tell if it's the pic or actually different.

    Plastic Shoe Trees for travel

You can get them online. Depending on your shoe size, these things don't really have enough preassure to actually stretch your shoes back out, and they obviously don't absorb water/odour. Maybe try to get some of the baby cedar ones likes these instead?

Has anyone ever used a shave chart before?

It takes a while to get used to shaving with a straight (and even longer to develop stropping technique to the point where you don't cut your strop to pieces), but when you do I personally would say it's totally worth it. I've got a rotation of three straights, and with my thick beard these...

Things That Are Bothering You, Got You All Hibbeldy-Jibbeldy, or just downright pissed, RIGHT NOW!

They will keep cranking until they detect the engine has actually fired (usually by just looking at the signal from the crank sensor). On lots of cars, even before push button start, you could just turn the key to "start" and release it immediately and it would crank till it started (for...

The Official Cars Discount / Thrift & DIY Questions and Bragging Thread.

Yeah, I'd say that if you go that route then, have whatever you buy inspected very closely by a mechanic you trust. As mentioned above, these do usually have to pass state inspections in order to be given rebuilt status, but I'd want to be very sure there was no frame or structural damage...

Things That Are Bothering You, Got You All Hibbeldy-Jibbeldy, or just downright pissed, RIGHT NOW!

'authorities think the daughter -- who the mother said had some mental issues -- was upset about something.' -- Detroit Free Press. Biggest 'no ****' line I think I've ever read in a published article.

The Official Cars Discount / Thrift & DIY Questions and Bragging Thread.

I'd say it's situation specific. Vehicles can be written off for serious or innocuous reasons, it all depends. It also depends on what you want to do with the thing, if it's an average car and you just want to DD it and then sell it after a 1 or 2 years, you will probably take a decent...

    Things you just don't get

I think the problem with Linkedin is that people don't realize that most people (or at least me anyway) actually give a bit more of a **** about cultivating it than other social media accounts. I seem to get a lot of randoms that I met once in passing for a few minutes and have no...
