Why should I work out my legs?

I think I heard about it, but I never played with the Kindle reader for PC. Grabbed the Waterbury book for kicks. I remember reading his Tmuscle article advocating 10 sets of 3 explosive, heavy reps and being very interested. I hope the book jives with Wendler531 cause I just finished my first...

Why should I work out my legs?

Squats and Deadlifts are two of the best exercises you can do in the gym. Yes, they target your legs but both also target your core, back, shoulders and, esp deads, your arms. They are great exercises for overall strength and fitness. The DOMs will go away after a few deadlift sessions. Form...

    Fountain Pen

Blue-black is just a personal preference. Traditionally, it was advantageous to use a non-black ink, because it would prove that a signature was real, and not just a photocopy. With the advent of color copying and printing, this doesn't really hold any more. There are many ink options out...

    Fountain Pen

When I was looking at fountain pens in the past I found myself being continually advised to grab the Lamy Safari. You can use it with a cartridge to start out and get a feel of the style, then later on grab a converter nib to get used to filling it yourself. It's pretty darn cheap, to boot. +1...

LCD TV; LED and 240hz Worth It?

I don't think it's the HDMI wire because when I first connected it, they all synced well together. I could even change the volume of the sound system with the Fios remote but once I turned them all off, once I turned everything back on, it's like they reset and I have to use each remote. I have...

LCD TV; LED and 240hz Worth It?

Alright, picked up the 46" Samsung 6300 and Sony Sound bar HTCT150. Picture quality is awesome, very nice indeed. I love it. I just need to figure out how to sync all the stuff together. I hate having to use 3 remotes to turn the tv, sound system and fios on (ps3/blueray as well). It's weird...

    Briefcase: Like or dislike?

It's a hard question to answer, because there are a lot of practical (i.e., non-look/non-style) issues involved. It depends on what industry you work in, how much stuff you have to carry each day, and so on. I think the briefcase looks fine, but it really depends on what you carry every day...

TM Lewin Sale (5 shirts/$93 shipped)

Can anyone help me out picking the correct size? I wear about a size S in Banana Republic's Slim Fit shirt, but could probably go for a bigger collar, more along the lines of the size M in BR's Slim Fit shirt. BR's Small sleeve length is just about perfect though. Any recommendations from...

LCD TV; LED and 240hz Worth It?

I have the following configuration: Digital Cable Box --> HT-CT100 ----> Blu-Ray Player --> HT-CT100 --------> TV Roku HD Player --> HT-CT100 ------> All connections are via HDMI. This means that the HT-CT100 handles all source switching and I use only a single HDMI input...

LCD TV; LED and 240hz Worth It?

Ok, I figure I could go for a good/decent sound bar to go along with a new TV. Which one do you guys think is the best choice? Sony 1 Sony 2 JVC Samsung Polk Audio I'm not an expert in these things but I would prefer not to buy a receiver so a sound bar that I could directly plug into a...

how long does it take you to iron a shirt?

I found this TM Lewin video helpful: http://community.tmlewin.co.uk/look-sharp/videos (the ironing video, bottom right corner) It takes me about 7-8 minutes a shirt. Shirts washed on gentle/cold, hung to dry right out of wash (i.e., no time in dryer), ironed slightly damp. I've been following...

Eyeglasses- do I need the various expensive coatings they'll try to sell me?

I was thinking about ordering Transitions with my next pair. How quickly do they adjust? I'm especially interested in how quickly they become clear when getting out of the sun. I have never owned Transitions lenses, but can almost always tell when someone does have them, since they never seem...

I can't answer your question, but want to keep tabs on this thread - I have the exact same question (and the same 10.5D feet).

Eyeglasses- do I need the various expensive coatings they'll try to sell me?

The anti-glare is worth it and shouldn't cost much. High index lens make sense if you have a high prescripton and want thinner lenses. The rest can be avoided. This.

    Duckie Brown Shoes

I say don't dye them. It sounds like you got them as a gift (or, at least, didn't pay for them) and I think it's nice to have something like this that wouldn't have necessarily bought for yourself. I'd try them sockless, with dark jeans, and a variety of shirts - maybe a navy gingham? They...

LCD TV; LED and 240hz Worth It?

I'm also switching up to Verizon Fios next week. Anybody have experience with it? I figure I'd ask here instead of creating a new thread. FiOS is fantastic. We moved to it last year when it became available, and much prefer it to the Cablevision it replaced. Because the pipe coming into your...

TM Lewin Sale (5 shirts/$93 shipped)

The St. James is wider and angles back more than the Windsor collar. The only knot that has worked to fully fill the space in the St. James is a double full windsor knot, however it looked massive. Have you tried putting in a smaller knot, just to see how it looks?

TM Lewin Sale (5 shirts/$93 shipped)

I believe the two Windsor shirts I bought have the same spread collar as the St. James. I have not yet worn a tie with them, but I'm interested in trying a FIH or Double FIH. I used to be a pretty committed half-windsor type, but I'm liking the look of that spread collar with a smaller knot.
