    The Apple Discussion Thread

Any idea when the iPhone 6 will be available in most stores? I'm looking for an unlocked iPhone 6 64GB, preferably in silver, in Silicon Valley or SF. I've been checking pickup availability on Apple.com for the last couple of days, and none of the stores seem to have it available for pickup. I'm...

    The Apple Discussion Thread

The 4.7" screen isn't really my thing. I'm afraid it's going to feel huge going from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 6. Hopefully I'll get used to it, but still -- 4.7" seems really impractical in terms of having enough room for the phone in a pocket.

What are you drinking right now?

Corpse Reviver No. 2. My first attempt was WAY better than the lousy drink I got this weekend from a supposedly decent cocktail bar. Tanqueray, Cointreau, Cocchi Americano. Absinthe with a small atomizer around the glass instead of swirling.

What are you drinking right now?

Dropped some cash today and got bottles of Fernet, Cointreau, Cocchi Americano, Tanqueray London Dry and absinthe today. (50 cl, 35 cl, 75 cl, 70cl and 10 cl respectively, about $180 total  ) Anyways, just made a Wry Grin with Rittenhouse - definitely something I wish the bartenders in my...

What are you drinking right now?

Had a pretty interesting drink last night. We went to a place where they specialize in tequilas and had an Agave Julep, which was really good. Definitely someplace I'm going back to. They have 50 or so 100% agave tequilas and they do a tasting menu, which could be fun. Also; hijacking this...

    The Excel Questions Thread

Any recommendations on VBA guides? I'm looking for tips on best coding practices, preferably aimed at non-coders. I just finished up my first proper macro at work. It's for a finance function where we invoice spare parts -- with 3 data sets from external sources containing spares we have on...

    Any One for a Scotch?

Hosting a small tasting with some classmates today. Picked up Oban 14, Talisker 10 and Bunnahabhain Toiteach, and we have some leftovers from the last two tastings. I think Balvenie Doublewood 12, Benriach 12, Dalwinnie 15, Glenmorangie 18, Laphroig Quarter Cask, Laphroig 10. Might end up...

    Filson Bag Thread: With Pictures

Would also load it up with a bunch of stuff to make it good and heavy, and then hang it over a door or the back of a chair for a night or two. That'll bend the strap somewhat, giving it a better fit on your shoulder.

    Any One for a Scotch?

Picked up a bottle of Dalmore 15 today going through duty free. The 70 cl bottle retails for $110 here, I paid just over $60 for the 100 cl bottle. Pretty decent deal. Looking forward to tasting it!

    Meermin Mallorca Shoes

Got this exact pair a couple of weeks ago, and while I left for warmer weather just before the Stavanger winter kicked in, I think they'll survive the winter without too much hassle.

    Cars We Drive!

A lot of Teslas popping up in Norway too. I read that we have the most Teslas after the US -- which makes sense, given that electric vehicles are exempt from any taxes. The Tesla starts at around $80-85 grand here, which would outherwise get you an entry-level Audi A6 2.0 TFSI or a VW Passat...

The one nice thing about the average speed cameras is the light after the second camera, blinking red if you got caught. Won't leave you wondering if you did in fact break the speed limit or not.

    Cars We Drive!

Could always import one. In Europe they sell the G350 diesel, which should get around 21 MPG mixed (1,12 L/km). You can live with that, especially since you're driving around in a 2,6 ton heavy car.
