    Recent non-Sartorialist Looks

It's funny you say that. Just the other day, my roommate asked me "What's DFW??" referring to Dallas/Ft. Worth, and my first reaction was "David Foster Wallace."

    Best inexpensive jeans?

Wow, let's not get into foreign sweatshop labour, okay? Most people who are against it don't know a single thing about it. If you read any of the studies done by academics, economists, etc., you'd know that the general consensus among the educated is that sweatshops are unfortunate, but that...

    J Crew Spring/Summer 2011 Discussion

I completely disagree with those saying that BR outerwear is better than Jcrew's. I tried both the camel coloured Mayfair topcoat and BR's and Jcrew's fit much better (I'm an college athlete though, so may be different for others), felt warmer, and had better material.

Turtleneck Color W/ Grey Tweed Sportscoat?

Forest green, cream, light navy, very light gray. Burnt orange if you're feeling daring. Maroon may be a bit corny, but might just work. Black is boring and greatly restricts the range of compatible trouser colours. +1 on Forest green and burnt orange!

    Popping my monk strap cherry...

Did Brooks Brothers cheapen their Gabardine pants quality?

Both. I have several pairs of BB GF trousers from when they were made in Canada and not only is the material slightly different but looking closely at the stitching I can spot a difference. The buttons are clearly cheaper construction, and the metal clasp is now thin and cheap. While they are...
