    T Shirt assistance please

So as the title suggests, I’m in need of some advice. Here are some facts. I’m based in UK and Italy, I’m 63 yrs old and as an idea of size, I wear a size 9 Lacoste Polo/T Shirt. I have a bit of a belly and man boobs that I’m conscious of. So I found out at my cost that piquet 12:12 classic...

    Archibald update

I took advantage of the naked offer when it was first introduced and am still waiting. Yes, I know COVID-19, etc etc and of course was quite prepared to wait. But I now see that they have re issued the offer albeit to help the artisans restart. Surely they should distribute old orders before...

Off the radar brands you love - please post!

Cucinelli as in Brunello? If so, I need clarification as to what is meant by “off the radar”

Off the radar brands you love - please post!

I’d hardly describe Barba Napoli as, “off the radar”

Off the radar brands you love - please post!

I don’t know if you would consider 19andreas47 under the radar - I can assure you that in the UK, and Italy for that matter, that this true “made in Italy” manufacture of quality scarves is not well known.

    Shetland crews

Please excuse me if I’m repeating a question that has already been asked and answered many times before. I did search prior to posting but didn’t come up with anything satisfactory or conclusive. Therefore I would like to ask the learned members to suggest a quality manufacturer of hand framed...

OTC Socks for the large calved gentleman

I find Falke to be the best. I’ve tried all the different styles, and although all good, Tiago is the best. Great quality socks.

How much did you spend on your first suit?

My first was bought for me for my Bar Mitzva. A three piece aubergine - it was the fashion back in 1972. The first suit that I paid for was ridiculously extravagant for a 19 year old, but oh was it special. Over a thousand pounds it cost me, which in 1978 was a fortune. The tailors were a three...

G & G and EG shoes on sale at Edwards of Manchester

No offence taken, however I refuse to take any of the blame. I couldn't do more than explain to the store professionals that for twenty years I'd worn nothing but flip flops and sandals and had come to them for professional help. My only blame is that I was totally ignorant about how they should...

G & G and EG shoes on sale at Edwards of Manchester

I have been a member of this forum for some time now but never really participate in the comments as I feel I'm not knowledgeable enough to do so. However on this occasion I feel the need to post my experience with Edwards of Manchester. I'd returned to the UK after living many years in a beach...

    Help with socks

Could anyone please suggest a well made quality sock, not luxurious cashmere or silk, that is modern, stylish, and long. My dilemma is that I'm unable to find many socks in my size. I wear a size 47-48 but very often because of my large calfs and long legs, nearly all OTC that I try are just...

    Rhodes-Wood Tailors, Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Don't know if this thread is still open or if anyone is interested but I feel that Steve Horsman merits another mention. Since my first message I have visited Steve on many other occasions and find him to be extreemly accomodating, taking pride and pleasure in his work. Yes, you do wait a long...

    Rhodes-Wood Tailors, Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Have just logged onto the sight, hence the late reply. Try Steve Horsman in Armley, Leeds for fully bespoke. Good value for money. Don't expect a quick job though. You can easily wait 4 - 6 months, unless you put pressure on him.
