    Cars We Drive!

If the unlikely scenario happened where I buy a travel trailer, it will be on the smaller side but set up for extended boondocking. Lithium batteries, big converter, lots of solar. Ample sized black/grey/fresh tanks. Full bath. Four seasons. Something like this, but not this, as the tongue...

You should be able to get The Pessimist at Costco for about $20/bottle.

If I was to get a travel trailer it would be pulled by, well at least at this moment in time, by either a Lexus GX Overland or a Bronco. The Lexus can actually pull nearly twice what the Bronco can and the Overland is highly off road capable...plus, it's a Lexus.

Have you tried the RRV Pinot from Michael Pozzan yet? The Pessimist by Dao is usually pretty solid. Loring and Siduri both have multiple bottlings in that price range.

    Cars We Drive!

I can't remember if I've shared this, but about three decades ago I swore off camping. Moose camp in northern Ontario (talk about a set back,) woke up to a few feet of fresh snow, the stove (which of course was also the heat source) had gone out, coffee frozen in the pot. Then late that day we...

The Linne and Saxum were just singing. The Grenache was showing deep and plush in both of them. The Turley was a cellar find. I was stocking in wine and it was in the bin, not in my Cellar Tracker. Let me tell you the years of age for one of their entry Zins elevated it to something special.

The LED in my pool is misbehaving. I've reset my Omnilogic a few times but the LED for the pool seems to have a mind of its own. I figure that's a minimum 1k waiting to be phoned into the pool company.

For the amp get the latest Rumble 40W combo. For the bass, troll Reverb for a nice US made Fender J-bass. Just prior to COVID I landed a mint one for $600.

Landed two of these this week. These were apparently released directly from the bodega. Wax capsule is in perfect condition and it's 98-99% fill still. I plan to let them rest and I'll pop one the weekend after I get back from Paso in mid-March.

Is that on the GX platform? The prior model was clearly off the LX platform. Really liking what I see about the GX and that's still front runner for my pre-retirement purchase in 2026 of a 2027 model year. Hoping they have a beefy plug-in hybrid based of the current twin turbo V6.

What music are you listening to lately?

As always, the lyrics. Yeah, agree with other poster this was their lame phase. Synths were battling guitars and they were wayfinding. Just tonight, while we were soaking in the hot tub, Jacob's Ladder popped up on the play list. Phuck, was maybe my favorite song when we saw them in their R40...
