Lands' End Canvas
The shirts feel a lot slimmer to me than J Crew. Sleeves are shorter as well. I picked up a few oxford and chambrays in medium, and they fit me pretty well for my awkward size. 6'4" 38" chest 34" waist 180lbs- skrooler

it's a decent boot in my opinion. not too pretty but it will hold up fairly well for winter. the leather is heavily oiled and thick. it's comparable to chromexcel... I think it is also by Horween but I could be wrong. the lug sole is probably the weakest aspect of the shoe... they seem kind of...- skrooler

What do you guys think of the kudu chukka boot? Thinking about getting it mainly for a nice winter boot. Does kudu last as long as any other leather? I know you are not suppose to take care of it really (as in condition, polish)- skrooler

How does the Executive last fit compare to the 5 last? I have tried the 1,4, and 5 lasts. 4 and 5 fit me, but 1 not so much. 1 hits my toes too much Yes I have read their page on lasts, but was hoping someone with first hand experience could offer insight.- skrooler

Looking at the Alden Chukka on the Barrie last. If a 11.5 D on the Hampton Last fits me perfectly, would 11 D on Barrie be perfect? Theoretically, yes. Start by unbuttoning the bottom button on the jacket. It looks like you could go down a size. Is it a vintage find or is it new? Well its vintage. Its an old Levi, made in USA. Sizing down? Its a 40L, they only way I could size down is with a 38XL, which is nearly impossible to find.- skrooler

wider shoe than AE Park Avenue in toes?
Just an update. I picked up Aldens on the hampton last in 11.5D and they are a near perfect fit. The Allen Edmonds 5 last in 11.5 E (Park Avenue) are a little tighter in the instep area and the toes Not sure if the Aldens are worth double the price I can get the Park Ave for though.- skrooler

Red Wing Boots - Your Opinion
Depends on the AE model you wear. If you wear an 11.5 E in, say, the Park Avenue, I think you'd be OK with the 11 D Beckman. Just my two cents. I wear a 12E in Park Avenue and an 11.5D in an Iron Ranger, if that helps. Yeah 11.5 E in the Park Avenue. I may order an 11 D Beckman from Zappos to...- skrooler

I know that it is recommended to size down half to full size on the Red Winds, but what about width? I wear 11.5 E in Allen Edmonds comfortably, would an 11 D in Red Wing Beckmans be okay? Edit: 11.5 E in Park Avenue.- skrooler

I'll try to get a hold of some Aldens and see how they fit. I went back and the 0 Last is still uncomfortable by my pinky toe. Though it's too the side more than the top. I did try on a few others and the 1 and 4 fit me. Though there aren't any attractive shoes on those Lasts. Does this help...- skrooler
