    The Official RRL Thread

Given what you've said so far, it's rather ironic that Ralph Lauren just closed the Seattle Rugby store. RRshop, you're a marsupial. You sound like a 50s communist scare alarmist.

    Help Me Find Beautiful Down

I've been interested in buying a Canada Goose jacket for a while now, however, the lack of any information regarding weight has stopped me. I can't find a single website that lists the weight of their jackets. I'm looking for a 3-4.5 pound jacket (this is for a winters in Hamilton, NY).

    Talk about unaffiliated retailers here

I want to get this SNS Herning sweater (http://www.tresbienshop.net/en/art/s...eck-purple.php) and I'm not sure what size to get. I'm 6'1, 160lbs with a 36 inch chest. I'm not sure if I should go with a medium or a large. I emailed Tres Bien and they recommended a large but if a large fits...

Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)?

I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here.

I've had my RRLs for a month now and the creasing is really soft, I'm worried that the fades aren't going to have very noticeable contrast. I want to starch them but I'm not sure what method I should follow. Should I flip them inside out or just spray the starch on the outside?

what a good cheap pair of raw denim to fade?

This obviously should have been posted in the "I have a jean" thread. How much more obvious can it get?

MEGA PEACOAT THREAD - 61 threads merged - all Peacoat questions HERE

If you check a few pages back, dron10 ordered a 34L and the arms were too short on his 6'1" frame. dron10 - just to clarify, what's your normal shirt sleeve size? 35 or 36? Are sleeve lengths on S/M OTR coats long enough normally? On a medium Rugby OCBD shirt the sleeves are the perfect size...

I'm poorly attempting to insult you? You insulted me for going to school, I don't know how much weaker you can make an insult. Most of your insults never level the boundaries of the ad hominem attack. And of course I am going to respond in kind to what you say. It would be like you starting a...

Ultimate noob thread - recommend me X in my wardrobe - post questions here please.

Under 200 is a little hard to pull off, however, this Rugby corduroy jacket is pretty nice for $175. Rugby's jackets are known for being fairly slim, so I'd at least consider it. http://rugby.com/shop/item.aspx?prod...719&cp=3138868 Don't buy a black blazer, it looks very "rube-ish." I'd stick...

Well I think I understand what you're saying. Again thanks for a decent reply. Whodini, I did search the "post pictures of your jeans" thread and I found one set of pictures. RRL seems to get a lot of hype, but it doesn't seem like many people post results on this board. And...

    The Official RRL Thread

Well you response is definitely a lot less confrontational than those provided by "whodini." I appreciate you posting a reply with substance. I still have a couple of questions, why do you prefer ring spun denim? Is it a difference you can feel or notice visually? What is quality cotton to you...

    The Official RRL Thread

I don't believe the denim should be both quick to fade and thick. I simply believe that it should have one of these qualities. What then, determines good denim? You have criticized my interpretation but you have yet to enlighten me with your criterion for quality denim. As an aside: what do you...

    The Official RRL Thread

Haha I know what you mean, they occur all the time. I do feel it is a bit different here in that Rugby and RRL are both made by Ralph Lauren, but one is supposed to be clearly superior to the other.

dron10 - not to be a dick, that's whos job but what is it about the quality of the denim that doesn't impress you?? Oh, you're fine, I don't think this question is in the least bit uncalled for. There isn't anything about the jeans that is particularly unimpressive, but there isn't anything...

    rugby solid university oxfords

I can get the Rugby OCBDs for 40 so I have a bunch of them. The fit Is better than most otr ocbds. The only thing I dislike about them is that the arm is a little full for my taste; they could slim it down a bit. Otherise they are great shirts
