    Also, Myers Park shoe repair is very good. They're located in the shopping center with Paul Simon and the Harris Teeter on Providence Road. They're all the way to the right of the shopping center and down some stairs. I have two pairs of AEs with them now.

    Shoe Shine in the Charlotte NC Area

    There's a small shoe shine place in the Latta Arcade (320 South Tryon Street). It's in the arcade, as you're walking through it from Tryon Street (toward the French Quarter restaurant, which, by the way, has the best baked chicken in Charlotte on Thursdays). Very reasonable and they do a good job.

    High-end tailors usually have huge sales right after Christmas and before Spring--you can usually pick up a very nice pair of trousers or a sportcoat for cheap.
