    Saphir Products Questions

Hi 3) I was planning on buying some Renomat to clean the layers of gunk and polish that can accumulate over time. Is it necessary to use this or will Renovateur or Nubiana already do this? Dib Renomat is different. Nubiana cleans but not strips the wax. Buy both.

Putting your name in your clothes

MTM and bespoke jackets tend to have your name printed on a tag inside one of the interior jackets. If RTW, I don't see what the big deal would be with writing your name down in the same place. No one will ever see it unless they're checking to see who the jacket belongs to. About name printed...

How would you make up these suits?

Purely hypothetical for now, but I would like some input. I'm contemplating 4 suits. From darkest to lightest: Dark blue / light navy flannel Mid gray flannel Mid blue fresco * Pale gray fresco * * Or similar open weaved suiting. Other recommendations? All SB, 3 roll 2, side vents. These are not...

    Question on Sock Material

Falke is very good. I haven't tried "Bristol", but "Airport", which is of a merino wool/cotton mix is of high quality and very comfortable. I can confirm it. Airport are great socks. For cotton I have good experience with "Firenze".

    C&J Handgrade Leather Quality?

I have exactly the same problem with my C&J Whitehalls! After a good polish they look stunning. But after 10 mins of wear they have enormous creases and the leather looks extremely dry. I use top notch shoe polish (on par with Saphir, if not better). I have used leather conditioner, special...

Crockett and Jones Audley vs Allen Edmonds Park Avenue

The Park Avenue in a 10EEE is a perfect fit for me. Given the lack of width option in the Audley, do I take a 9 or a 9.5? I'd really appreciate the help, as I'm a long way from a place to try one on. Thanks. Dear Leica, I'm sorry for my very poor English....... I have a Park Avenue in size...

C&J dilemma - which handgrade? (photos inside)

I have both. In black and dark brown/chestnut. My personal preference: 1) Belgrave black (great business shoes !) 2) Audley black 3) Belgrave chestnut 4) Audley dark brown If You think to use them for navy suits, I suggest to you Belgrave in chestnut. More interesting colour than dark brown...

    Lesser fabric advice re: weight

Sharskin doesn't work for a wedding. It's a business suit. I suggest to you to choose a dark gray suit. Maybe 11 oz is safer for early october.

Minnis Airborne - Anyone Ever Have Anything Made?

I don't think so. I think it is too light, and also not quite porous enough to really benefit from being unlined. If you want unlined, try the fresco book. My tailor is working on 2 suit unlined. Fresco 500 and 505. I've seen Rangoon clipping and it's very good. I think Rangoon is a bit more...

Minnis Airborne - Anyone Ever Have Anything Made?

Rangoon is so good, as are the lightweight frescos, that I have never been tempted. Manton, I'm sorry for my awful english... Is Rangoon good for an unlined suit ?
