Heads up on GAP Chambray shirt.

Your schtick is played out. Find a new one. I might make all my posts about buttons now based on this alone. But considering the person that incited the original post wandered in, it was too timely to not point out. I simply love the fact most SF members can't pick even mall brand detailing out...

Heads up on GAP Chambray shirt.

Can this thread become a pasta discussion? I think that would contribute more to the progress of this forum. I agree with the originator of the inability to determine plastic as versus metal buttons.

Heads up on GAP Chambray shirt.

The buttons are terrible. The paint peels off quite easily. The cloth is just so-so, and the construction is not so great. The best thing about the shirt is the fit, which is quite good. The forum has proved the buttons don't matter since people can't even spot plastic vs metal. And I love the...

Heads up on GAP Chambray shirt.

Both my shirts are metal buttons. The white paint is even wearing off my blue chambray buttons. I can't speak for 100% of the shirts but I suspect they are all metal. But yeah if you find a MoP snap button chambray, let me know, I'll buy it in a heartbeat.

OOO.. I wish you hadn't mentioned the buttons. I was thinking about those last night and how much it would cost to get them replaced with some MoP or similar... They feel like they'll eventually snap in half. They are metal buttons. Pretty sure they aren't going to snap in half. It's funny how...

Heads up on GAP Chambray shirt.

Yeah, I was gonna say, it's not a shirt I'd wear to camp like the J Crew flannel. Still pretty nice though. Gap is coming around very slowly. Yeah it's headed in the right direction. I think they still need to shake off the 40 and 50 something women clinging to the brand who are dragging the...

    New Mens Brand from Colorado

There is an ELC submission on the front page of notcouture right now.

Heads up on GAP Chambray shirt.

I tried on both of those and liked the black/white better. The fit is pretty good, but it's SO damn thin, and at $50, it makes the $70 J Crew flannels seem like a bargain. I do have a 20% off receipt though, and will probably pick it up. I just looked it up and apparently it's not flannel which...

Can you post up a picture of the grey chambray? I haven't seen it at my local gap. Where did you see it in Canada (I'm in Canada also)? I'm not in canada. I asked if he was since he was so out of whack on the pricing. but yeah I will try to remember to snap a picture of my gray. Gap calls it...

Heads up on GAP Chambray shirt.

yeah, the box pleat is rad. i'd buy it if i could also find the purple flannel online. can you tell me if the retail stores price-match the online stores? No, retail and online are entirely independent. Even individual stores are priced differently for sale merchandise. There are 3 or 4...

Heads up on GAP Chambray shirt.

I've got one and it's pretty good. I've gotten quite a few compliments on it and a friend's girlfriend has been scouring her local gaps for one for him. For $70, it's a pretty solid shirt. I haven't tried the $98 J. Crew, but will when they go on sale. Now, if I could just fine their grey...

    New gap denim

I'm interested in getting a pair of Gap Authentic fit Dark Rinse wash, but apparently those aren't the raws. Can you buy the Authentic raws anywhere? And do the Dark Rinse jeans fade at all? -edit- I just searched the site and it looks like they have two Rigid pairs of mens jeans - standard and...

    Wolverine's Heritage Line...

the 1,000 mile boot is made in the USA not china. don't get the 1,000 made in the USA boot confused with the other boots in the heritage collection. SF discounts are long gone. That was sarcasm, sorry. Once I get hands on these at my Neimans I will give you guys a call to order mine.

    Wolverine's Heritage Line...

$325.00 for the 1,000 mile boot which is made in the USA The rest are under 250.00 I think that's a fair price considering. If you try to compare them to the service boot or the bowery boot its uncool. it's a great boot for the price. But it's made in China!!!!! PS - Where's my SF discount...

A new god of fashion has been found (Or how not to dress)

Hai Larry. I lol'd. Still, there are much better (and funnier) targets of "omg we're so much better than this person" than this old guy who dresses for the covers of books to catch the eye of people who shop at Barnes and Noble.

Jumping into a volcano because you don't give a ****: ballsy. Jumping into a volcano because you think your dormant alien DNA will activate and save you: sick delusion. Read the linked passage and witness the extent of this man's madness. He thinks he dresses well. Again, technically he DOES...

A new god of fashion has been found (Or how not to dress)

There are MILLIONS of easier, funnier more appropriate targets if you wanted to make an easy "let's look down our noses at people" thread like this. At the very least he is consistant, purposeful and fully aware of his clothing which puts him head and shoulders above almost all poorly...
