Canon has some great point and shoots. Fuji also has some great cameras. The Fujis aren't as nice to use as the Canons but they have better low light capabilities. I think this is the reason why I think more cars are going this way -- people rarely seem to check their oil dipstick anyway, so using a sensor probably was the easiest way to make checking your oil lever more accessible to people.
