MTM (Proper Cloth) shirt advice
I went back to Proper Cloth with this feedback and made some more changes, but the shirt actually fits worse now. I think it's time to just go back to off the rack, which I'm fine with. Thoughts on J.Crew Ludlow jacket fit?
It's apples an oranges, but Mr. Ned suits are bespoke and start at $950. It would be a big stretch for my budget, so seeing how that Ludlow jacket fit was a very pleasant surprise. Please ignore the shorts. In a few months I'll be in the market for an interview suit and I was planning to really, really stretch the budget and go with Mr. Ned (NYC). All makes sense, thanks. Becnal - sorry, I had meant a physical store rather than eBay, or at least somewhere where returns would be more straightforward. Had to look up the difference between oxfords and derbies but I also prefer the former and think that they look more formal. Good call...- anon311

What to tell a tailor when altering a suit?
I need to buy a suit for grad school interviews and hope to pick something up for cheap(er) this weekend thanks to Columbus day. My plan is pretty much to go to Macy's and find something that fits well in the $300 - $600 range (feel free to offer a better idea if you have one). I'm in NYC, so...- anon311
