    can you tell by this pic if it is goodyear or hand welted?

    the reason i ask is because i was told that this is a handsewn goodyear welt construction but ive read here that that's an oxymoron as goodyear welt uses machines to sew on the sole and handsewing shoes shouldnt.

    if you had a tailor who showed up constantly in tennis shoes, shorts and a tee (still properly fitted) would you still trust them with making your clothes? or does what the tailor wears matters?

    ironing suits during construction?

    so im in thailand and for some work and i was looking around to get a suit. talked to a local tailor and said that he makes canvassed suits. he mentioned however that to prevent bubbling, he irons the suits so no bubbles will form...? is this right or is he blowing smoke up ******?
