Would it be inappropriate to wear nice non-bal boots like the AE Malvern or some RM Williams craftsman in a business casual environment? Would that be a problem if I wanted to throw on a tie and jacket?- OxWing

Tennis is killing my feet
Don't even think about frees. You need some leather to keep the shoes from getting torn up too quickly. Put some vaseline on your sock (and the inside of the shoe) on the spot where you're getting friction.- OxWing

Sperry or Rockport?
If you're set on owning one of those two pair, I like the Rockports, but I also tend to be pretty conservative in color choices. Quality should be similar between the two pairs. You should be able to find a pair of solid navy Sperry's online for like $60-70, and that's what I'd do.- OxWing

Breaking in boat shoes
Advice from my college soccer coach that works great (dealing w/ blisters) -- VASELINE! Anytime you feel shoes start to rub a little bit, take them off, put lots of vaseline on your sock (foot if going sockless) and inside the shoe, then put the shoes back on and continue.
