This. So much this. I'm surprised that they clearly think that the market isn't already saturated with heavy, oversized coats. I'd be all over a well-tailored lighter-weight trench, and it sounds like @TheSuitBurnsBetter might be, too. (Valstar makes a trench, but it looks kind of meh to me.)- professor

Actually, I think it's widely accepted that solaro doesn't have any particular cooling properties. The origins of the fabric rest in some early twentieth century now disproven science about fabric, sunlight, and tropical diseases. My impression is that you carried a lot of winter-weight outerwear. All of it is great, but it sure seems like much of the US doesn't have much of a winter anymore.
