Just can't get myself to wear (soil/tarnish) the new Darltons..

To Tailor or To Sell
+1 for sell. Even with a great tailor it'd be hard to get it perfect, and for someone your size those lapels will, in my opinion, always look a bit big. Would be a sweet coat for the right guy though!- Boston Tweed

I can highly recommend B. Nelson in NYC for this type of work as they've resoled some AEs for me with excellent results (and used better than OEM soles...Redenbach is so much more durable) and reasonable prices. how are you all drying your socks? I know some mentioned hang dry but there's no way I have the time or space available for that. Polishing Shoe Bottoms
I'll agree with everyone above that polishing your soles is crazy.
