    replacing lenses in sunglasses?

The lab usually uses a new blank lens to make Rx lenses. So if you buy sunglasses in order to take them to an optician to have Rx lenses installed, it makes sense to buy the cheapest version of the same style. Unless the sunglasses are interchangeable. Than you can replace the Rx lenses with the...

    replacing lenses in sunglasses?

Revo sunglasses have outstanding optics. They have some cool features like infrared rays filter (!), polarization, blue light protection, AR, etc. But if you are getting Revo frame with Rx lenses, you don't get the same lens technology. You have a choice of standard Rx lens materials (CR-39...

Sunglasses MEGATHREAD - all sunglass questions here please

I suggest double checking what the lens material is before using nail polish remover to get rid of the logo. Аcetone will leave marks on a plastic lens. Some Ray Ban sunglasses lenses are made of CR-39 and polycarbonate (both plastic lenses). It's safe to use nail polish remover only on glass...

    large aviators. please help!

You can purchase American Optical aviators from http://www.opticsplanet.net/ao-eyewear.html . This is an authorized dealer and they offer free shipping. I know they can even put prescription lenses into the American Optical frames. But you need to call them to order the Rx lenses.

    Super Eyeglasses

These eyeglasses remind me Ray-Ban Wayfarers. Same square lens geometry. They are very popular nowadays.

    large aviators. please help!

I know Serengeti makes large aviator sunglasses. I don't think they are 73x73. The measurements that they list on their web site are 62 x 68mm. But I know that this model is pretty big. Serengeti prescription aviator sunglasses might be a good choice for you.

    Prescription designer eyeglasses online...

I bought from framesdirect before. But that was a few years ago. I recently bought my eyeglasses from http://www.eyewearplanet.com/prescri...yeglasses.html. They have competitive pricing and their customer service is good. But I was confused with all different lenses they list. I placed an order...

    stylish eye glasses

anyone know where I can find something pretty much identical to these but without the screws coming out on the front of both sides!? thanks! Ray-Ban makes similar glasses. RX 5163 is the model. The lenses are little bit smaller though. But there are no screws on the front of the frame...

Online Prescription Eyeglasses Lab - need lenses, already have frames

Some on-line stores might refuse to make Rx lenses for your frames. The reason is that they can break the frame while fitting the lenses. Since they did not buy the frame from the manufacturer themselves, they wouldn't be able to replace it. But it is worths trying anyway :-)

    light full rimmed glasses

There is a brand called Luxottica titanium. Their frames are very lightweight. You can also check out Chaps eyeglasses. They make a lot of titanium frames as well. I think you can find both these brands in every Lenscrafters store or on-line. Costco might also carry them.

Online Prescription Eyeglasses Lab - need lenses, already have frames

I bought already several eyeglasses on-line and I honestly like them. I went to Lenscrafters to try the frames on, wrote down the model numbers and found them on-line. $145 that I paid on-line vs $400 or about that Lenscrafters wanted me to pay... The only inconvenience that I experienced was...

For those of you who wear glasses

Wearing the glasses on the top of your head can stretch the frames. In addition that can mess up your hear (in case you care of course :-) ) If you do not like hard carrying cases, get a soft pouch. You can put it in your pocket when you wear the glasses. And you can use the same soft bag as a...

    Prescription sunglasses frames

If your prescription is around -6.00 for both eyes, you still have a big choice of prescription sunglasses that might work with your Rx. And not only flat frames like aviators, you can even find something in 6 frame base curve. It will also depend on your pupil distance and astigmatism if you...

    Dear Old Oatmeal

I have been eating oatmeal every morning for several years already. It helped me to lose some weight I usually buy Quaker's old fashioned oatmeal. I do not mix it with anything. Just add some water and put into the microwave.

    Sunglasses for fat faces

I think the rule-of-thumb for the sunglasses fit is that the glasses should be as wide as your face. If the eyewear is too narrow for your face and it leaves marks where the temples touch your skin. The models I know that work for people that need larger fit sunglasses are: Bolle Boa Ray-Ban...

    stylish eye glasses

Ray-Ban Wayfarer glasses have square lenses. The model is RX5121. Attachment 17017 That's a classic model. In my mind, the lenses are little bit oversized. Ray-Ban RX51222 looks more modern. Attachment 17018

Best way to determine proper size for sunglasses

Different eyewear brands provide different measurements. You can see something like this: 58/33/60/20/130 Usually the firts three numbers reffer to the lens size: 58 - horizontal measurement of a lens, 33 - vertical measurement of the lens, 60 - effective diameter The forth number stands for...
