Ted Baker shirt
I've got one - poplin french cuff. Construction is decent, the fabric is ok - pretty stiff but for the same reason, not see through at all, which matters to me. Big pluses are the fantastic shape of the collar and the fit. Nice and slim, almost perfect for me. Shoulder seam is spot on for neck...- RipRoar

Brooks Brothers Men's Shirts Sale - 2 for $99
The worst thing is that the sleeves seem to shrink, and you have to get them tailored to fit. The last BB non-iron shirt I bought required 4" of material taken off both sides. I bought a Valentino from eHab, and the cut and fabric are terrific, especially for the price. Quality - who knows? I only tried it on for 5 mins. Unfortunately, the trousers are too slim for me (cyclist thigh syndrome) so it must be returned. But highly recommended for the dough.- RipRoar

Is that you don't like the "break-in process" because the jeans are stiff? If that's the case you could go with either jean you mentioned and simply wash them in woolite and/or cold water to remove as much starch as you can and just wear. Otherwise...
