Hi guys, please critique my black suit

Was it really Dan or was it his brother Peter who looks exactly like him only taller and fatter? This is a photo of Peter Akroyd. GTFO out of here, I had no idea. Easy mistake to make if it was Pete

What to do if goods are lost in shipping ?

Responsibility is the seller's, unless he offered you insurance and you turned it down. And one month is not an uncommon delivery time for even Priority mailing. How is a month acceptable to receive an item in the mail?? If it came on the Pony Express I guess I could understand

That is what shoe repairing should be

What everyone is missing here is that the dog did you a HUGE favor. Ha, I'm surprised it took someone so long to say this. The first thing I thought was about how hideous they were, impressive repair though

Sunglasses MEGATHREAD - all sunglass questions here please

In "Top Gun", I believe all the actors wore Ray-Bans. Cruise wore the Aviator; Val Kilmer wore the Outdoorsman, I think; Barry Tubb wore the Clubmaster; other actors wore black-framed Aviators; Aviators with mirrored lenses, etc. I bought my Aviators and Clubmasters after seeing that movie...

"casual" french cuff...how would I wear this shirt?

Not something I'd wear but I'd like to see it with a solid sportcoat

how long do you take to get ready for going out?

If you take a shower every morning, then 5' is enough. If you do feel dirty (after the gym for example), then 10' is all you need. I shower sometimes twice a day, depending on how I feel. 5 minutes would never be enough, honestly

how long do you take to get ready for going out?

I don't see how you can take a shower in 5 minutes and get truly clean, but maybe I'm a little OCD when it comes to that

    Name post SF-Regrettable purchases

Not really any fault of SF, but learning that amateur photographers on EBAY can unintentionally (or perhaps intentionally) change the color of an item to make it look like exactly what you want was a hard couple lessons I suppose

Where to Buy Pants for <$50?

    JoS. A. Bank - Quality/Contruction/Pricing Answers

I've got a couple items from there, the biggest being a Signature suit I got on deep discount. It took a lot of tailoring to fit me how I like, but the quality is nice and it's comfortable overall. My only problem is that most everything in store seems to be cut for larger, older gentlemen...

    How tall are you?

6'2 with no shoes, I'm stunned again to see this being the most popular height so far

    What jacket size are you?

I'm typically a 42 sometimes a 41. I'm honestly floored to see my size in the lead right now, it seems all I see are people talking about being smaller than a 40

    Tailoring - help please..

It's pretty much a given an off the rack suit will have to be tailored, so it's not unheard of. Not sure if you can ask around locally to find a good tailor, or if you have some other stuff on cheaper items that needs to be done as was suggested before, sort of a trial run

    Summer shoe

http://www.comfilon.com/catalogopsoc...B-ABB25017168F Scroll down to the middle of the page. I wear these "foot covers" sometimes with tennis shoes or boat shoes. They make going "sockless" much more comfortable. The "leg model" pictures on this website are weird, but what can you expect from a...
