It's actually a makeup for Sherman Brothers, not the stock Alden shoe. Perhaps it's the lighting but yours look like a different shade of snuff than my lwb. Are those on the Barrie? Not seeing the shoe on the Sherman Bros website.- Beyachad

F**K! I knew that someone must've returned them. I was initially going to order from Alden SF but since I'm in CT i figured it be quicker (shipping wise) to go through shoemart. I recently received these ravello chukka boots. To my displeasure the left toe box has these strange striation like stretch marks? I meant Gutman not Turner. Finkyl would have been gone if the real estate market had not tanked. They have the Verson property on the south side and will move when the market changes. I'll try again do people wear snuff suede w/ khakis? how is the durability of it? I do - in fact I wear my snuff suede lwbs with khaki's (many different shades - especially nice with chocolate color), flannels (grey and dark brown), and jeans. Also, I listened to the advice of an older person and I didn't size down in the Alden 403 boots. I bought my regular shoe size, except I am normally an E width and I bought a D width. This happened to me as well, 2x, on my Alden Aviator Boots from Orvis. In this case sent both back and got replacement quickly - 3rd time a charm. Love the Orvis service. The boots fit great, are super comfy, and I get complements when wearing them just about everywhere I go.- Beyachad

Is any of the Lands End stuff for men good?
I would caution anyone buying Lands End custom shirts that these shirts are not suitable in anyway for wearing with ties or with a suit. While they have nice materials and overall construction, the collar and sleeves are too soft and rumply - I am not sure if they do not use an interlining or...- Beyachad
