Luxire Custom Clothing - Official Affiliate Thread

Got my second pair of Genoa chinos in today - (I didnt account for the model pair's combination of thinner fabric and more stretch, so I had the knee and waist measurements adjusted on this pair). Just posting to say Luxire absolutely nailed all the crazy little requests I made after the...

Are you the best dressed person at your job?

Ha..along the same lines, I don't think anyone at my office has ever seen a side adjuster. I get weird looks, but no one has said anything.

Classic collar roll........I can share what my tailor told me since I have the exact same problem on all of my off the rack sport coats and Shirts. He said it's because I have square shoulders and good posture. I have my fit dialed in with luxire Etc and you should be able to make it happen...

@ppk THank you for posting those shots. Looks like pretty standard (decent) cotton drape. I got a more standard waistband for this test pair, but it's good to know what the full monte would look like were I to go with the recent trend of high waist / pleats / multi-button extended closure.

Thank you all so much for your replies - @alkydrinker those pictures are perfect. I can see there's a moderate texture from the twill and they aren't shiny like some. I appreciate your shrink report as well. For the price, I'll go ahead and order a test pair and more if they come out as...

Lots of recommendations in this thread for the Genoa chinos, which are on sale now. Not many reviews on the site. Anyone out there have any? What do you think? How does it hold up after a few washes? I'm looking for something doable in warmer weather with minimal to sheen. Any IRL photos...

Jeans wish list? I can think of 2 things I'd like 1. A few colors in thinner (6 - 8 oz maybe) and thicker (12 ish oz) options with a lot of stretch. I like and appreciate the raw, heavy stuff, but sometimes prefer comfort,, especially In the heat. 2. A significantly shorter yoke than most...

There are numerous video reviews. Its literally a plastic stick sewn between the placket layers. They look ridiculous, and I can't imagine they do anything good for your garment's longevity. I have the PC 'stand up placket' on a linen shirt. It works fairly well. The downside is that it's...

One would think so. The measurements from my previous orders with PC ranged from 'slightly off' to 'was this made for a human being?'. Ok, that may be a slight exaggeration, but there seemed no rhyme nor reason to the varying amounts of fabric in the torso of the shirts. I couldn't tell what...

You can now turn off 'shrinkage allowances'. A few weeks ago I received a test shirt with the allowances turned off. I couldn't find the option during the ordering process, so I had to email CS, who took care of it for me. What came in the mail was within 1/8" on every spec save two - the...

Oh man.....some of those sportcoat fabrics look outstanding. I don't know whether to be happy about my new job, or sad that the new office has a more or less 'anythign goes' dress code. People wear sweatpants and the like to work. THere's absolutely no way I could justify buying yet another...

Maybe. What difference does it make if you can dial in the fit? I'm just going to give slightly shorter cuff and collar measurements and end up with exactly what I want. I will be adjusting my measurements.....and the world will keep on turning. In the end, it's just a shirt.

    - wash in cold water and hang dry. You'll get near zero shrinkage. - If you're talking about tiny cuff measurements that make a huge difference to you, just move the button.

In case anyone's interested this test shirt came back in good time. The CS team was great and got the shrinkage allowances removed before the shirt was made. Once it arrived, the measurements were spot-on except for the collar around and cuff around. They still had significant allowances added...

Ha! I mustn't have been clear. My only point is that the regular (and welcome) marketing emails are coming from new owners....who may have also changed their marketing approach. Looking back, it's obvious the spam was some kind of bot. Any outrage is coming from someone other than myself...

I've never known Luxire to spam before. Then, I'm getting emails from a chap named wolfgang now, too.
