My experience with RLPL Barksdale is that 100/101 last is narrower and has a lower instep than 184 on which have a couple of other RLPL loafers.

I have shoes both on 100 and 184 lasts. 100 is a soft chisel toe and 184 is round not too pointy. Both have very different looks. As for the fit, 100 is a tighter overall fit, especially the instep is quite uncomfortably low to begin with. After breaking in it is fine.

I stand corrected. These are not RLPL Barksdale as these do not have the pattern on the sides of the heel. But the insole reads Ralph Lauren.

These look like RLPL Barksdale which were made by Edward Green. But the soles on these don’t look like original or have otherwise been heavily used.

I was given similar advice. I had size 41 F last oxfords. Then based on the advice I was given, ordered U last shoes in 41.5. My feet floated in those U last shoes. Since then I have bought multiple shoes in U, K and P2 lasts all in size 41. They all fit great.

Based on the shoes that I have, my guesstimate would be that these shoes were produced in the early 90s. But email EG. They respond quite promptly.
