However, the main point I draw from your post is: money talks, money means designer suits and designer suits are unusual (for better or worse). A bespoke suit won't be noticed or appreciated. I wish I encountered this thread before ordering from them. I just got the ties earlier today, I must say I was quite disappointed to see "100% polyester" when it was advertised as silk/polyester. But then again, a silk/polyester is probably an already big enough sin to most SFers, so yeah...- jurrigggg

Can you wear overcoats without a suit?
Well, I live in the southern east coast, and I wear one every now and then, just with shirt, jeans and a scarf (an overcoat without a scarf is not complete, IMHO). I never wear it with a collarless shirt, but that's just because my coat is quite conservative (relatively wide lapels and black).- jurrigggg

I just moved to a small-ass town for work, a town that's in the middle of nowhere (no road leads here!). The only thing to do here is drink, hunt, fish or ski.
