    Wesco Boots!

The build sheet on Baker's lets you build without toecap and on LTT: https://bakershoe.com/products/custom-wesco-hendrik Edit: Hmm maybe I'm wrong! Oops

    Wesco Boots!

Has anybody built or seen a Hendrik in lace-to-toe?

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

Still double-row trim. I requested specifically in the notes that it be maintained. I have read elsewhere of rebuilds coming back single-row.

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

Brown dress is on the right. I think all the dust and the unusual lighting make them look weird. I find brown dress is very difficult to accurately capture with photos - it usually looks black in photos but it's more like dark roast coffee beans in person. Here's a shot from before they were...

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

I have MP-55 (ordered from Baker's) that came with the standard MP heel. That said, if you have a strong preference, I think it would not hurt to specify, considering there seems to be some blurriness between standard and custom builds. MP-55 is already not an off-the-shelf build at White's...

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

I too have felt (am still feeling) the sting of the squeaky boot rebuild. I'm currently waiting on my fifth build across two pairs of boots that I ordered in late 2020. I am not a picky customer at all (I can't usually even tell what people are complaining about when they talk about stitch...

The "Baker's Oxford" is also built on the NW last. How's the fit/sizing compared to the 55? I have a pair on order in Red Dog roughout, Kyle had recommended a half size up from 55.

Wow those look amazing. What leather? I don't own enough different pairs to do something so wild but those look crazy good. Do you have on-foot photos?

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

What are those exactly? I surprisingly like the crepe sole on that build EDIT, missed the "Empty Garage" link. Here's direct to those boots. https://emptygarage.jp/SHOP/WHITESSTOCK364.html $1228USD

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

That backstay/tongue makeup is the first time I've ever seen a "two-tone" Bounty Hunter that I liked. Most such makeups seem to make the boots look like bowling shoes. This is more of an "accent."

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

Brown Dress! When the scuffs first came they really jumped out like big scratches, then over time their edges got softer so that it looks like the lighter brown that shines through looks totally natural to the leather. Out of curiosity, what is the appeal of the unstructured toe? When I wear...

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

This is Vibram 430. I kind of wish there was an option between 430 and 100 in terms of its thickness. It's "hard," it loudly clicks with footfalls on hard indoor floors when compared to the commando half sole I have on my MPs. But it has decent grip and definitely doesn't seem to wear quickly.

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

My Bounty Hunters are 7". It's a good height for me, low enough for casual wear and high enough to do work in or tramp across a stream.

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

The 55/SD last definitely has more vertical room in the ball and the toebox. I initially ordered my MPs on the MP last, but they had a minor build issue that required a rebuild, and because of that ball/toe pressure I decided to switch to the 55 last - you could see the result a few posts back...

Natural Chromexcel MPs built on the 55 last.

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

Sure is! Seems to look better the more scuffed it gets :)

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

Yes, especially at the ball of my right foot where it always wears faster on the left side. I think my gait tends to push off only from the left side of the ball of my foot when uncorrected, and especially in shoes with less arch support. In the Bounty Hunter it was like my foot was trying to do...
