How many yards of seersucker do I need for a suit

lowering the crotch
Is it possible to alter a pair of trousers by having the crotch lowered, so that there will be a higher rise and the waistband will sit about an inch higher? Feasible alteration job or impossible?- lightsaber

Why would a wealthy man buy a brand-name suit?
I'm puzzled by what appeal there could be for brand-name, designer clothing among men who can afford personal tailoring on a regular basis. I wear both. Do your cufflinks show???
I've had some suits made for me and I thought the length of the sleeves was just right. Not short but not hanging too long like I usually get with off-the-rack.
