Silk and and cotton for Victorian (1840-1870) waistcoats

Hello everyone :) I'm willing to make Victorian waistcoats that are historically accurate to the romantic era (mostly shawl collar with a true collar). I'm looking for fabric shops that own high-quality cotton and/or silk with nice patterns and textures that will fit the style of that era. I've...

    Silk Suit Lining Online Shops

Hello Everyone, I'm looking for online shops/companies selling silk linings for a bespoke suit. Preferably plain silk. Striped cotton for the sleeves will be a great bonus. Thanks ahead!

Harrisons1863 Vs. Harrisons Burley Vs. Fox Borthers Vs. Huddersfield fabrics for a bespoke suit

My tailor is the most reputable tailor in Israel. Unfortunately, bespoke tailoring isn't very requested here and while there are some really nice kinds of cotton and linens in Tel Aviv, but I'm not pleased with the wools. Therefore, ordering the right woolen fabrics from abroad is necessary. I...

Harrisons1863 Vs. Harrisons Burley Vs. Fox Borthers Vs. Huddersfield fabrics for a bespoke suit

They truly have a huge portfolio. How are they in terms of prices compared to fox? Speaking of Fimmeresco - I am heavily considering this one ;-)

Harrisons1863 Vs. Harrisons Burley Vs. Fox Borthers Vs. Huddersfield fabrics for a bespoke suit

Thanks for the suggestion. However, since it's super hot in here, my tailor recommended choosing fabrics around the 300-330g weight. winter lasts here for 2 months and temperatures only reach around 5C degrees.

Harrisons1863 Vs. Harrisons Burley Vs. Fox Borthers Vs. Huddersfield fabrics for a bespoke suit

As previously mentioned, my tailor is in touch with the local suit fabric shops in Tel-Aviv, the only really nice fabrics here are cottons and linens, the only wool here is the so called "cool-wool" and there are't flannels/tweeds. I found a beautiful herringbone tweed in Tel Aviv and got...

Harrisons1863 Vs. Harrisons Burley Vs. Fox Borthers Vs. Huddersfield fabrics for a bespoke suit

Unfortunately not. I'm from Israel and all wools here are imported from Italy, there are very few suiting fabrics shops (1-2) and they have low-quality wools.

Harrisons1863 Vs. Harrisons Burley Vs. Fox Borthers Vs. Huddersfield fabrics for a bespoke suit

Hello everyone, I am currently having a hard time choosing between the fabric companies mentioned above for a bespoke suit. I am mostly looking for a versatile, vintage-looking worsted flannel/high twist wool. After going through, honestly, thousands of their options I have managed to narrow...

Tweed and Flannel suit fabrics ONLINE

Thank you very much for the detailed answer! A preview - I'm from Israel, no one wears suits here, and if they do its 97% of the time Zara-polyester ones. My tailor is probably the only tailor (and therefore the best) in Israel who teaches and practices tailoring with pad stitching, full...

Hi, I've happened to stumble upon these companies regarding ties - how are the quality of their ties? Has anyone had a chance to give them a try?

    classic-slim 3cm Braces - where to find?

Hi, As of my very slim physique, classic 3.5-4cm braces look too wide for my body in my opinion. Therefore, I'm looking for nice, button end, fabric, (as in no elastane) ~3cm braces. JJ suspenders are currently great for that purpose, however, I've exhausted their options and I'm looking for...

    Recommended dress shirts?

Hi, I am looking for companies selling good quality dress shirts (striped/plain) with french cuffs and non-plastic buttons. I love Spier and Mackay yet they have few french cuff options in their OTR section - and about their MTM service - I'd wish a mao collar was optional (since I'm adding...

    Made to measure ties

An update for the sake of those scrolling around on the internet. Wilmok can make Made to measure ties, as well as Howard's. Shibumi also have the option of bespoke ties, however, I find them to be more pricey than the rest of the options (shipping wise as well) and to have fabric options that...
