Yeah I love the 4 ply too, just not for the dead of summer.

The ones from Halstead are indistinguishable, to me, from the Smiths. https://www.pepperlee.co.uk/category/suiting/page/3/?filter_bunch-name=explorer These ones are the best, imo. Much more robust than the Italian versions. The duller tan yarn used here balances the red very well.

3 ply Finmeresco is my favourite. The best balance between lightweight and drape.

Has anyone ever done unlined sleeves with their mock lino SC? I did my recent dww summer tweed with unlined sleeves and really enjoyed it. It is just a little more airy without the lining laying over the shirt sleeves. But I wonder if mock lino will be too see-through.

It looks pretty nice, at least to me. The blue is kind of similar to that of a french chore coat.

I like the 3ply from Finmeresco. Lighter than the 4ply but still hangs really well.

Try also the tropicalair book from dugdale. It has at least one brown one if I am not wrong.

Maybe try the loro piana books? LP is really good at making these unusual colours in a tasteful manner. Is the Corcos a winter hopsack? Love the texture!

I'm pleasantly surprised at how sturdy the cloth feels after it is made up.

I remember this. Think it was the 1000g everest cashmere. Voxsartoria has a coat in this I believe.

There are some 25oz coatings from Dugdale, but not sure if they are to your taste pattern/texture-wise. Like this: https://shop.dugdalebros.com/coatings/product/6304-grey-herringbone-wool/colour/grey_herringbone_wool/ Otherwise, Fox would have been your best bet for something that heavy or...

What about a navy casentino? Liverano talks about casentino in the kid dandy video, and he featured a very nice navy casentino coat.

I think it is heavier. I saw a fellow customer in a pair of trousers made from the art du lin. It hangs very well. But it doesn't feel as robust as W.Bill despite the weight, so it's difficult to tell its durability.

The one from art du lin is not as yellow, more like whipped cream than thickened cream :-D, even though it's still a nice colour. Let us know when you find the right colour!

I like the lighter one. It makes a fun suit. I think this is the heritage twist book (sorry if I missed you mentioning it)? There is a houndstooth of a similar colourway in the same book that makes an interesting suit too.

I have a pair of trousers in a discontinued Dugdale corduroy that contains a small amount of elastane. It drapes well and has a tiny bit of stretch, making it quite comfortable to wear. If it is still available, I wouldn't mind having more trousers made out of the fabric.

Yeah I agree with The Chai. The Spence Bryson oyster in the tropical range seems close enough. Why not ask Mark directly?
