Thanks for the comparison. The old cut looks better and cleaner.

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

Yes, that's really good. Great collar - can I ask where the shirt is from?

Not sure what it is. They almost look real, but something's not right. If you're going to go fake, at least make them look good.

Those model photos are saving me a fortune.

    Question regarding no-break pant length . . .

But surely your outseam is 41 because you like an 11 inch rise. The distance from the bottom of your balls to your feet is fixed. The only variable is where you want the pants to lie on your gut.

Are the lapels on this jacket too wide?

    Too wide and too high.

This one's good, but I also liked the high contrast one - a bit more interesting.

    What suit for red carpet?

Whatever you find yourself wearing in the dream. In my case, that normally involves a beautiful tailored jacket and tie, but a sudden realisation I'm not wearing any trousers.

Almost perfect comic timing from the two posts above.

Brilliant. Repeating a post about unnecessary repetition.

    WAYWRN: Classic Menswear, Casual Style

What makes the thread useful and interesting is seeing the fits AND having people make constructive comments/criticisms. If you want fits with endless "great fit" comments, there is instagram. You're quite free to ignore bizarre suggestions of overcoats requiring creased trousers.

The problem with Spier trousers is the taper more than in the thighs. Must be a lot of people doing leg day but still having spindly calves.

Yep, people in Canada and the US can keep quiet. As I see it, they get a 40% discount all year round the &%*#s

SPIER & MACKAY - Official Affiliate Thread

Sure. Shoulders, armhole, sleeve width etc are important if you're wearing over a jacket, which will depend on the cut as you've said. Sizing up can often help, but not always. Against all these things, sleeve length seems pretty unimportant. If the sleeve length is also perfect, then great. It...

SPIER & MACKAY - Official Affiliate Thread

I just can't imagine my decision on what size coat to buy depending on sleeve length. A coat is a relatively big purchase and should last you for years. Find one with a fabric and style you like, check it fits well and get the right size, then finally think about sleeve length. If that's not...

A special place in hell is reserved for people who get RTW jackets and suits that fit them perfectly straight out of the box, sleeve length included.

Does a suede belt work with jeans?

That's much better in this context than your bulkier belts.
