    My new pair of JL Philip II. Is the difference in the fineness of creases caused by the position where the leathers were cut from? Wondering whether this is what I should expect from brands like JL. Thanks.

    I totally agree with you regarding the movement of feet which leads to different forms of creases. However, the fineness of the creases is determined by the quality of leather and the area/position the leather pieces cut from, am I correct?

    I agree that the last is elegant and the fit is good (The direction of the creases is horizontal). The statement I’m trying to make is that I’m a bit disappointed by their failure to maintain consistent quality of leather among the two shoes.

    Thanks Jesper. You mentioned that Simpson is narrower. From your earlier intro I learnt that artista has narrow waist and tight heel. May I know which part of the last is narrower, e.g. heel, waist or the widest point, etc? Or the whole last? also, I think the latest GMTO design on Skolyx...

    Hi Jesper, how would you describe the last of the artista range relative to Carmina Simpson (or the Armoury Hajime, or Mori’s single monk) in terms of instep, vamp and width? Do I need to size up/down?
