When is the Next Brooks Brothers Sale?

This is the worst set of deals I can remember for the semi-annual sale. No decent individual deals except maybe sport coats. Most everything else you have to buy in multiple quantities.

When is the Next Brooks Brothers Sale?

Unfortunately, the pictures available were limited and you could not tell from the description whether they were Greenfield made.

When is the Next Brooks Brothers Sale?

I've seen that tag, and the $1900 list price, on the Brooks Brothers stuff that is sold on Rue La La. Cannot tell for certain whether it is Golden Fleece, or from the information on Rue La La, what cut the suit is, but they are single vented and show an interior tag describing the suits as...

When is the Next Brooks Brothers Sale?

Not sure if this is the same Regent herringbone suit that I have, but if it is, the pattern is very subtle. The herringbone does not make it too informal. I have no problem wearing it in a conservative environment.

    Epic Shirtmakers

Not sure what to say. Just checked and the link worked. I find the site through a deal on ruelala. The fabrics look decent, but I'd be interested to hear if they look good in person. Would also be interested to hear about the construction, but there are almost no reviews out there.

    Epic Shirtmakers

Does anybody have any experience with this online MTM shirting company? http://www.epicshirtmakers.com/ I came across a deal for their shirt but wanted to see if it was worth the time. Thanks in advance.

Do you you by any chance have, or are you able to get, a pair of these in an 8D?

Is it ok to wear AE strands with slacks (i.e. business casual)?

Bluchers or loafers would be more appropriate for wear with a shirt and slacks, or with coat and tie, for that matter, than a balmoral like the Strand. I've worn my Strands with coat and tie, but wouldn't with anything more casual than that. However, the overwhelming mass of humanity who do not...

    Allen Edmonds: Strand versus Dryden

I have the Strand in chestnut and the Dryden in brandy, and I prefer the Strand. The Strand is probably my favorite AE shoe, and it is perfect in a business/business casual environment. The Dryden looks ok as well, and of the two, it is the one that I'll wear with jeans on occassion, but if I...

Help me pick my 3rd AE shoe

I'd go with either the McAllister in merlot or the Strand in walnut. Both would be good additions. +1 Having something in merlot is a nice for the mix, but the Strand is probably my favorite AE shoe. McAllister may be a touch more versatile, but the Strand is a nicer looking shoe, IMO.

    Wedding - Cufflinks Question

Thanks for the advice - had I thought about this earlier, I would have seriously considered those black onyx cufflinks of yours.

    Wedding - Cufflinks Question

I'm trying to stay pretty close to traditional black tie for my wedding. I have a one button, peak lapel tux, white pique vest, black bowtie. Instead of studs, my shirt has MOP buttons. My question is the cufflinks - should I wear silver knots or round, black links from a stud set? I'm...

Good tie for pink shirt? (pics of shirt included)

I'd say navy if it wasn't for the black suits... buy new suits. +1 If I had to wear that shirt, I suppose I'd probably wear it with a navy tie. I'd probably be more inclined to save it for casual wear. I wouldn't wear a black pinstripe or chalk stripe suit anywhere in a professional capacity...

Does anyone have experience at Boyds in Philly?

I'm not a big fan of Boyd's. I like to shop at my leisure, and the salesmen swarm too much for my liking. I feel like even when you tell them you don't need help, they still peer over your shoulder a few feet away. I like more space when I shop. I also feel that the salemen give off a...

Would you buy 2 pairs of the exact same jeans?

If I knew for certain that I'd be happy with the fit of a pair of jeans after a few washings, I'd absolutely buy 2 pairs. I find that I have about a 50-50 success rate with jeans - some I really like, and others end up not quite right after a few washings. If I knew that it was going to be a...

First pair of Allen Edmond's (PA's), how to care for them from the start?

Do you use the premium shoe polish (cream) or the caranuba wax polish? And what's the big difference? Thanks. I use this cream: http://www.allenedmonds.com/aeonline...p_category=216 And the carnauba wax polish: http://www.allenedmonds.com/aeonline...p_category=216 I'm not 100% sure of...

Allen Edmonds Delray - Appropriate for a suit?

SF: Not appropriate. Rest of the world: Just fine. If you're going to go with AE, I'd recommend the Park Avenue with a suit, rather than the Delray. But the Delray will be fine.

First pair of Allen Edmond's (PA's), how to care for them from the start?

I have black shoe cream and polish for my Park Avenues. I use the polish more frequently (every few wearings) than I use the cream. As stated above, the cream moisturizes, the polish gives a good shine. I'd also recommend the heel and edge dressing. I invariably end up scuffing visible edge...

    Groomsmen Tie Advice

I'm getting married this fall, and I'm wearing a black bowtie, as are my groomsmen. I'm setting myself off from my groomsmen by wearing a white vest (they will be wearing black). I'm also wearing a white pocket square. So far, no pocket squares for the groomsmen, although perhaps they will...
