    If you wouldn't mind. I would definitely buy those if it comes up again in a future season/sale, or even potentially e-mail them the colour code and see if they offer it as MTO. (Unlikely.) Even if you have the box/model code I can e-mail them and ask what suede that code is associated with.

    I've been wearing RMs since 2010 and I completely agree, I replaced all my pairs in 2019 with new comfort models and they are at least as good now as my first pair. Anecdotally, I think the "RMs have been ruined" crowd are making an issue out of nothing, I see the occasional quality control...

    Some finishes are a bit finer vs others that are nappier but they just call it suede. They did have a desert kip finish which was a lot rougher looking but it doesn't seem to be an MTO option any more.
