G.J. Cleverley Fall U.S.A. trunk show dates

I couldn't find it on their website. How much would a pair of semi-bespoke or ready to wear shoes cost? Just curious.

    Mytailor.com touring tailors

I have gone to two fittings here in Houston with one of the MyTailor.com reps. But my last order was done online. I was able to get my measurements from the rrep through the website. I then emailed MyTailor.com ([email protected]) and asked for some adjustments... i.e. reduce 2" on the...

    MyTailor.com Alternatives

This sounds familiar to me. Have you been dealing with "N. Rusty"? No, that wasn't my sales rep. But he was definitely a salesman. I think I'll use the website from now on. Once I get my numbers right, it's just a matter of picking out fabrics. I'll continue to use the two-ply superfines, I...

    MyTailor.com Alternatives

I wouldn't bail just yet. As others have suggested here, this is par for the course when getting anything MTM. Some shirtmakers even do a "test shirt" first, as it's almost expected that the initial attempt won't be exactly right. It looks to me like you're getting really nice shirts from...

    MyTailor.com Alternatives

Hello, I revisited with the MyTailor rep today. I wore one of my MTM shirts for small revisions. Here are pics of the shirts I already received. As many of you felt, I asked that we give a more tailored fit. We he agreed to bring it in one inch on each side, and that would also bring in the...

What is your shirt cuff preference?

I think my cuffs are just a tad too big. Because my sleeves are a little long (working on getting that fixed), the cuffs sit on my had just beyond my wrist. It's a little annoying to always pull the sleeve back. Could someone post a pic of a cuff that fits/falls correctly?

Got my shirts back from MyTailor.com! How do they look?

Excellent feedback guys! I'm scheduled to meet the MyTailor.com rep, Mr. Ram Keswani, on Thursday. For those that are interested, I wanted to know which fabrics I selected, so I sent them an email and got an answer. All these shirts are Two-Ply Superfine Cotton. That first shirt is under...

    designing your own website

There's very liitle value in learning how to html/css/js/yomama manually these days. The software does it for you, such good tools now. I've been building websites as a career since 1995. That's before internet Explorer and when 28.8k was king! I taught HTML 101, but it was simple to do back...

Ranting: nice clothes and overweight people..

I never said I was around 300lbs. I am about 265 right now as I have gained about 40lbs since college. like I said sitting at a desk with an hour and a half round trip commute has been tough to adjust to. For starters I am 6'3". I have lifted regularly since I was 14. Taking a few months off...

Ranting: nice clothes and overweight people..

You see I could go into the long drawn out story of why I am fat, and I could tell you that I'm faster, stronger and in better shape than 95% of the people I meet on a daily basis but I'll save you the story and give you this. I hear you out and respect all that you have said... except this...

Ranting: nice clothes and overweight people..

100% True! Proper diet plus exercise is the path to fitness. I've become obsessed (ya annoyingly so) with diet/nutrition and proper supplementing. I take in 1800 calories a day 200gr protien and 120gr carbs. Regards Don Shouldn't you be at 1.5g protein/lb of body weight? Sounds like you...

Got my shirts back from MyTailor.com! How do they look?

^ Looks better after the wash. I wouldn't worry about the slight pulling in the last pic, as you probably won't be using your 'Supaman Pose' that often If it was me, I'd ask for slightly slimmer and shorter sleeves. To me, the biggest issue is the shoulders, which I think would look better...

Feedback please on fit of my first MTM Mytailor.com

I love it. I'm taking note of that suit fabric. My untrained eye doesn't see any extra volume in the jacket. It looks like it fits.

Ranting: nice clothes and overweight people..

BMI is just a guide. My BMI is 28, which calls me overweight (30+ is obese). But I have a 32" waist. I'm a little heavier because of my muscle mass. If I had to guress, my bodyfat would be around 16-18%.

Got my shirts back from MyTailor.com! How do they look?

How's the collar fit? It looks like it shrunk as well? Didn't even think about that. Buttoned, I can still get 3 or 4 finger under the collar. Plenty of room. I don't wear ties often at all (weddings and interviews only ) so I'm rarely button that high. But all four of these shirts are...

Got my shirts back from MyTailor.com! How do they look?

Ok, so I washed the shirts, in "Hand Washables" mode. Then dried them in "Low Delicate" mode. We have shrinkage. Here are some updated pics. I put on the same jeans for comparison. It fits more snugly. Sleeves look and feel better. The yoke seems to be at nearly the same place. One pic with...

"The Science of Obesity" is showing on National Geographic HD right now. I always watch these shows. There's another one that I've recorded called "I eat 33,000 calories a day". If you ever get a chance, watch that one! Amazing story about food addiction.

Ranting: nice clothes and overweight people..

Losing weight is about controlling calorie intake, not exercise. Hence the reason Optifast is the most successful weight loss program in the world. Either their 800, 600 or 420 calorie per day program will work. Fo sho. Since this thread has gone off track already... there's a saying in the...

Ranting: nice clothes and overweight people..

Personally, I have always found a bias in fashion towards larger people. I have a 32" waist and that's one of the first sizes to sell out. But there's a ton of 36" and up sizes. And what about the whole 10" spread from a suit jacket to the suit slacks? Ridiculous. But whatever. I don't care what...
