    So I spent a few minutes cleaning the old loafers up a bit. This is after a very short polish. They need new soles, but the color and the shine is coming right up. No refurb at this point. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

    Thanks for your comments. I had not thought about not getting my shoes back. That would suck. I think I might work on them a little and see where things lead. Appreciate the advice.

    OK. I think I have attached photos. Two of the Aldens. One has been recently polished the other...not so much. Tassels going in for a rework. Penny loafers will go in as well once I see the results. The tassels are from 1986. The penny from 1990...

    I guess I will find out. My shoes will be headed in this week. There is nothing on the website, that I have seen, referencing the need to have had all work done by Alden.

    Question. Interested in sending back a pair of cordovan tassel loafers back to Alden for a refurbishment. Has anyone gone this route? Pleased? Thoughts or comments welcomed.
