Ask a Question, Get an Answer - ask all quick questions here

Sorry for the vagueness, basically I'm trying to find a few decent short sleeve options besides the usual Vneck T to combat the heat and humidity in they day. I do have a broader chest and shoulders, I used to work out years ago, and yo'd yo'd with weight in recent years . I'm 170...

Ask a Question, Get an Answer - ask all quick questions here

So this maybe a question, but sick of wearing L/S shirts rolled up in the heat..really want to find some SS that fit right. Are there any alterations a tailor can preform on shirts pulling up wards when raising your arms? Besides looking terrible it's a huge PITA for mobility, seems nothing...

(Old) Ask a Question, Get an Answer - please ask all quick questions here

Quick question, Levis Trucker jacket (I got medium, normal shirt size is medium) should it fit snugly? It buttons up and the top half fits good; the bottom 2 buttons are pretty snug.

Anyone have any suggestions for a cotton flannel shirt for under $40? I tried target, the colors/style where meh, ordered one from AE that is rougher then a brick and reeks of petrol so it's going back.

Alt Apparel is it normal to bead up when wet? Other T's to try next?

could you do me a favor and tell me the p2p and back length measurements of your size M alt apparel? some of the acne tee's fit quite well. they cost a little more, but you might want to give them a try. or, you can just get the AA tee's tailored to be shorter as well, i have done that. Unworn...

Alt Apparel is it normal to bead up when wet? Other T's to try next?

On a side note. I would never buy there shirts from ebay they make such a great product they deserve every penny. Yea they are great, I have a few of there hats, I just didn't want to drop 20 plus shipping on one T to see if I liked it or not. I plan on ordering some from there website now that...

Alt Apparel is it normal to bead up when wet? Other T's to try next?

Ok so this is going to sound like a dumb question but I will ask it anyway , sick of AA T's I wanted to try Alternative Apparel. In trying to save a few dollars I bought 2 on the bay just to try and see if i like them. There just the regular 100% cotton crew neck (black) when I wash them or if...

    Find me a bike

No one has mentioned frame material yet. I am going to assume, comfort is an issue. Outside of seating stance, I think frame material plays the biggest role. I would stay away from aluminum. From there, your price point will determine, i.e chrome moly vs. titanium, etc. My post above #16...

How many watches do you own?

Six and I only wear one, my black Skagen titanium, sure it's rather plain and cheap, but it's hand down the most comfortable watch I've ever worn. I wish I could find something else a bit nicer that's thin and light weight.

    Find me a bike

My father was wanting a bike for the same reason, pedaling around the neighbourhood and bike path. I reccomened the Trek Pure which uses a more forward design for pedaling, most bike shops have them for around $399 which includes an Aluminum frame, and 7 speeds. He bought it 3 weeks ago and...

    Slim Fit Khaki's/Chino's

if i'm not mistaken, jcrew classic fits are not slim. they're more of a tapered look than slim. there is slim fit which i believe is what you're looking for. the classic fits are also more tts. Well there is the new Urban Slim Fit, but these are the older style which they regard as a slimmer fit...

How do you stop T Shirts from shrinking?

the settings say wash cold and tumble dry low... stiill shrink! Thus the problem... If you don't want any shrinkage to occur you will have to forgo the dryer and hang dry the shirts, they make chrome drying racks or get door hooks and hang them off a couple drafty doors.

    Slim Fit Khaki's/Chino's

Did you try on a smaller size? To me it just looks like maybe it's not the right size for you. I haven't, khakis are new to me, so I wasn't sure if they stretch like denim. The waist on these seems to fit just about right, not skin tight and not loose even though I normally wear a 32 or 33 in denim.

    Bi-Fold Wallet vs Tri-Fold Wallet

Even better question front pocket or rear pocket? I been using a tri-fold for the longest time mainly because I keep my wallet in my front pocket. Most bi-fold well thinner yes, they are just to big to fit a front pocket comfortably. Also fwiw the last tri-fold wallet I bought was 8 years ago...

    Slim Fit Khaki's/Chino's

I bought some of the Jcrew slim (classic fit) chinos a week or two ago when they had there sale online, 27 including tax and shipping. Overall I'm not to impressed, I thought they felt pretty slim but as you can see in this photo the thighs look kinda baggy. Size 34wx32L Eclipse Blue

Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)?

I'm tempted to say you can't go wrong for 18 greenies, but the short-sleeved shirt is a formidable opponent. A matter of mm in sleeve flaring and you're finished - It's over. I'd go for it, dude, it's a solid check. Thanks!

Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)?

Never ending quest for a cheap Madras, Oldnavy still junk even at 18 shipped? (30% off sale ends today) I called and there small still seems big (chest=41" length 30") I like the spread collar, but not feeling the pockets.

If they don't make plimsoles, chucks, etc.. in my size (extra wide) would black sneakers be a huge blunder with Chinos and a tee (either the Jcrew Eclipse blue, or darker British beige color)? I have some Clarks but for just casual I really can't stand the weight.

Should Linen shirts be baggy, or does this look ridiculous?

I'm about your size but 10 pounds lighter with a smaller chest and I wear a jcrew small. The new linen shirts fit surprisingly well. I think a small would be perfect for you. If anything, you might want a tailor to shorten it by an inch, but it looks good OTR with a pair of shorts. I was looking...
