Offical TRICKERS shoes and boots thread

I wish this issue can be resolved. I’ve had to return quite a few Tricker’s boots for this reason and feel nervous about buying anymore online..

Offical TRICKERS shoes and boots thread

I'm going to check my Tricker's boots for the medallion under welt issue. In glancing through recent posts, not many of the laces are level, or rather the facings are sometimes way out of alignment so that the whole boots is twisted.

That's quite a severe example. I wonder why this is happening and the affected shoes are being allowed to be sold?

It's a lottery to find a pair of Tricker's boots with correctly aligned laces like a pair of Clark's. Here's a pair of Tricker's Allan boots which have the same fault. Note the misaligned facings causing the eyelets on the left boot to appear staggered. The outer left side is forward of the...

Offical TRICKERS shoes and boots thread

Should wonky or misaligned eyelets be regarded as a defect with Tricker's boots? I have seen many examples of Tricker's (and other manufacturers) where the eyelets seem staggered rather than level. While this may seem trivial, once seen, wonky eyelets can't be unseen. Oddly, I've never seen this...

RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

Does the Vesta leather used for the Gardener and Gammon styles scratch or scuff easily? I've seen listings on eBay for the Gardener (in particular) and occasionally the leather has cracked or peeled. I'm aware that RM Williams' leather requires regular conditioning, but I'd hope the leather...

Please can anyone advise if the Axton has a gusseted tongue? I've had a run of bad luck with the tongues in Stow boots not being properly so I'm hoping the Axton doesn't have this problem.

Offical TRICKERS shoes and boots thread

I'm thinking about getting a pair of Burford boots in deerskin. Is deerskin a weaker leather than calf? I was told by an assistant at the Jermyn St store to drop half a size for deerskin compared to the calf version of the Burford as, despite using the same 4497S last, the deerskin version...

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a pair of Tricker's Henry suede boots on Dainite soles, but I'm concerned that suede will be difficult to keep looking acceptable. I understand that grease and water marks are a problem? Is this correct or am I worrying too much? I've got a Henry in Polo Kudu...

Offical TRICKERS shoes and boots thread

Hi all, I purchased a pair of Tricker's Stow boots in 'Cafe' brown leather for a bargain price from TK Maxx. However, the welt is naked, untreated leather so I'm keen to either keep it as clean as possible and avoid marks from rainwater, spilt drinks, etc. What would you recommend for either...
