Paraboot Michael owners - I've noticed a few places that sell these shoes describe them as having a 'cushioned insole'. What does that mean in practice? A leather insole with a cushioned heel pad like most goodyear welted shoes? Or something else?

Thanks for such a fast response! The sneakers look fantastic by the way! Sounds like they have the kind of insole you find in Astorflex shoes - don't know whether you have any experience of these to comment? [edit] just noticed the comment about posting a picture of the insole - that would be...

Apologies if this has been covered already, but what are the insoles like on the SF-01? Are they removable? How much padding do they offer? What type of padding (e.g. is it memory foam)? Thanks!

Hmm ... you're not that much taller than me, although I'm only just a little over a 38" chest. Maybe the medium will be OK, we'll see. Thanks! If you get the chance, it'd be interesting to know the measurements of that jacket, so I can compare it to the medium Beacon when it arrives. (I'll also...

Good video! That jacket already looks miles better. I'm slightly worried now though, as I ordered a Beacon Sports Jacket in the sales over the weekend. I got my usual size medium, and I wonder if I should've sized up! How tall are you, if you don't mind me asking?

:) I'd be interested to hear how it goes for you. The 38" fits inside perfectly when you zip it in, but 'pulls' slightly when the jacket is worn done up, like it's just a bit too small. Maybe the 40" would actually be better ...

I use a 38" zip-in liner with my medium Ashby, which was what Barbour recommended.

That's very interesting! I originally chose the Ashby over the Classic Bedale because the c38 Bedale was too short in the body/arms, and the c40 Bedale was too boxy on me. The size medium Ashby was a happy, erm, medium. I'm going to have to try on a new Bedale and see for myself!

Nice write-up! So the latest c38 Bedale is longer than the (medium?) Ashby?

I'm 178cm tall, slim build, and wear a medium Ashby. if it's any help, here are approximate measurements of mine: Pit-to-pit: 57cm Sleeve (pit to cuff): 47cm Back length: 75cm If you're quick, there are still a few Black Friday deals on the Ashby out there (UK-based websites)!

I wear my Ashby for 3/4 of the year - autumn to spring, with a zip-in liner when it gets very cold (for Cheshire). No issues with quality and I found it was a better fit on me than the Bedale as it's a bit longer and slimmer in the body. It's a great jacket!
