    www.shopthefinest.com - affiliate thread

Ian, Been eyeing these for quite some time: http://www.shopthefinest.com/p-42968-sutor-mantellassi-dark-brown-shoes-size-105-us-95-uk.aspx My only concern is that they look a shade dark from the picture, almost black. Ideally, they'd be the same shade as the pair in the middle: Is the...

    Santoni shoes

Sorry to bump an old thread but didn't want to post a new one. Does anyone know which line of Santoni's these are and how the quality is? Apparently the retail is 900.

The (hopefully) definitive thread on NYC tailors

Any recommendations for cheap reweaving (or skillful blended patching)? I would prize price over quality as the hole is smallish and on the buttocks, and I'm too ugly for anyone to bother paying close attention to my behind. Check out French American Reweaver. Not terribly cheap, but the guy is...

what brand jeans is your favorite ?

No, even if you don't wash them they get crease fades and such so fast. I actually never wash my jeans. That's right, never. How do you get rid of the nasty, sticky, gummy feeling that builds up after you haven't washed them for a while? Assuming it's sweat that dries on it.

Modern Tailor Big Sales fabric recommendation

Anyone have any fabric recommendations for a solid white shirt? Also, Chips had mentioned the tendency for the collar tips to curl on one of his shirts - can anyone else comment on this for any other fabrics? It's one of my pet peeves.

Gents, Thanks for all the input. Here are better pictures of the length of the suit. Does it still look short?

    RLBL Glenplaid Appropriate for Interview?

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm planning to go with a dark navy tie. How will that look? And I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum. Can a mod please move this to Men's Clothing?

    RLBL Glenplaid Appropriate for Interview?

Gents, I have the choice between a dark glenplaid Anthony cut RLBL suit (pictured below) and a plain black Express suit for an interview at an investment bank. 1. The Express suit fits me great and still has some years left in it, but I'm not sure if I should be wearing black to an...

    RLBL Fit

What do you guys think about shortening the jackets on BL? My hesitation is that the vents are already very short, shortening the jacket would make them very, very short. Anyone with experience in altering the length of a BL jacket? Bump! I have this very same question, can anyone chime in? I...

    Altering length of a jacket

I have had two jackets shortened. They cost $125 per at one of the better tailors in San Francisco. The jackets were longs and I had them shortened about 1 1/4 inch. They turned out great. -The button stance was good so shortening didn't hurt a bit. -they both had patch pockets that the tailor...

    Need Tailor near downtown Manhattan

I live on John St. I've been using the tailor (Ann St. Tailor is the name, I believe) at Fulton and Broadway for the past few months and he's been great. It's right across from the Duane Reade. There are people selling hats/cologne at the storefront, walk in, and on the left there is a black...

    John Varvatos - You like?

Anybody have any experience with his overcoats? I bought one yesterday from Century21 for half off. Seems like a good deal and it fits me perfectly, but the material doesn't seem thick enough to keep me warm in NYC winters. It's 70% wool 30% nylon. Eh.
