Post 'em. I'm interested to see what folks are wearing and how their shoes or boots feel with age. Did you have a break-in time for the Engineering boots and would you change anything with the fit?

Yes they are the CN last. They are listed as the CN-S. It's not easy for me to visually spot a CN last. Below is a comparison of 3 different Clinch boots, all the same size. The right side is a George boot in an US9H CN. Middle is the Gary in US9H CN-S. Toe structure is the difference that I...

I use USA made boots for mud work. - LOL. Since folks post Clinch stuff here, here is my latest: Also picked the Gary's in black (yeah - I'm wearing them): These are really comfortable out of the box. Probably the best made pair in terms of quality and fit that I've received from the...

These are untreated and have been soaked all the way and used as a workhorse for 2 years. The reason to show these is the leather holds up without additional treatment. They get brushed off daily or weekly and cleaned monthly. No treatments, no additional dye, no oil. The leather is still in...

Get a boot jack. I've worn cowboy and engineering boots since I was a kid and a boot jack pulls your boots off in seconds. Just lock the heel and pull back. Don't get anything fancy, just an angled wood slab and leather lined where the heel goes. For getting a boot on first time, use the pulls...

Sorry to hear about your experience. I use Wise and the prior Transferwise. Use the bank account link option like most wire transfers were done with the brick-and-morter. Don't choose the one where you have to go to your bank. Using a credit card is a killer in fees. You get hit with higher...

Too many perks at S&S for you to quit. I lived in Willow Glen and I don't know how a lot of folks can afford it these days. BTW - You might want to carry some of these sandals for the summer. Sizing is difficult, there is a lot of toe room but if you get the sizing right they are really really...

Please tell me I am not insane to consider buying these! Answer: Everyone occasionally make good choices. I enjoy style. My wife looks at my stuff and thinks I'm a ******* idiot. Please tell me they are top quality! ANSWER: They are a great value and well made. Everyone's definition of...

The Mast Trainers I have are on the MT last. These are a narrow wrap around fit. I have the trainers, Yeager (CN-S) and a the George in the stock CN last. The CN is comfortable for me ( between C and D in width). I was surprised how narrow the MT last feels but absolutely agree to keep the same...

I suggest calling S&S and go over this again with Neal. They are really good in sizing so there has to be something I don't understand. If it needs to be changed, they should still have time with Brass to make this update. Let them know the Clinch US 9.5 was the right length and was too narrow...

I am a US 9.5 C/D, so if you are a 9.5 D/E, then your closer to a Clinch 10H in the CN Wide. I went a 1/2 size down with the CN-S and CN Wide (Clinch 10) and they both fit me but my toe is really close to the end. Going TTS for me is the right fit. Was the CN-S you got in the 10H Yeager too...

I agree with everything you said about Clinch - but I did have a comment on the sizing. This is my experience with their lasts: CN - This is the basis of most of the lasts at Clinch. Length - Mine are true to Brannock length, so 9.5 US Brannock is 10H (or 10 and a Half) in the CN. Width - no...

That would bother me too. I have the rough outs and it does collapse and roll to a nice looking fit. But I didn't put any protective coatings on it and it does stain easily. I have dog paw prints all over these boots and I have no idea what they were running in at the time. I prefer the black...

Sizing with comfort is really difficult in the Clinch lasts. What is your width? Also, Clinch is not taking orders right now unless it's in stock. They are burning through their back orders. DaveB

Hand welting is not in the price point for the market he sells to. JL is not an all in-house manufacturer, so outsourcing this can be expensive for consistent quality if you're not in control of it. I have a pair of his boots, I like fit and construction. However, I never really considered him a...

Great price, wish I didn't already have a pair. Just for reference, I'm a 8.5 in the 2030 and your 10H wide is a good fit for me (9.5 Brannock C/D width). But I've got flat feet so their arch works for my feet. Good luck on the sale.

For what it's worth on my Clinch boots, I took the recommendation of going a 1/2 size down with a C/D width in the wide (so I ordered a CN10 UK 8/US9). They fit but I have ordered a new 11" boot in a different finish true to size in the regular width 10H (US 9.5). Whether is it pull-up or lace...

BTW - Do you have a good heel lock and the only discomfort is in the arch? If so, you can also use a boot stretcher. The horse butt does have some growth and I did use a stretcher on one boot to help get it comfortable.
