Yohji, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Looser Fit (Yohji Yamamoto Thread)

It didn’t really take long time until I got my another Yohji purchase. Found those Y’s pants on local listing in my country, seeing other Yohji in Poland than Y3 feels super strange - code is mn-p16-101 - they’re made from mid weght wool twill, elasticated waist, loose silhouette, very simple...

Yohji, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Looser Fit (Yohji Yamamoto Thread)

Perfect looks, especially the first one! It's the silhouette I was aiming for when hunting for my Yohji suit. However the only pants I managed to find are those creased ones, but in person I ended up liking them way more that I thought I will. Not creased ones are my next purchase for sure, if I...

Yohji, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Looser Fit (Yohji Yamamoto Thread)

Yes, that's true, however the construction is quite smart because only exposed seams are those on the sides of the coat, and they are not that exposed anyway. There's no seams on shoulders or other parts that get wet first, but I'm not sure how much rain will the fabric itself handle, I'll test...

Yohji, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Looser Fit (Yohji Yamamoto Thread)

Here are the details: jacket - this I believe was a steal, bought on German ebay for about $210, item code suggests that it's an AW11 item, seller described it as "used few times but always taken care of", auction pics were really bad so I was kinda worried what I'm getting. In reality it looks...

Yohji, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Looser Fit (Yohji Yamamoto Thread)

Thanks! I'm not at home, but will do some detailed shots of those garments tomorrow. Good idea with the boots + unrolled pants combo. The only boots I own at the moment are some properly beat up Chippewa, and don't really see them working with Yohji but I'm planning to get some classic, black...

Yohji, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Looser Fit (Yohji Yamamoto Thread)

Alright, posted my two noob questions here so time to contribute. Finally managed to complete my first Yohji suit, thing that I pretty much wanted since I first lurked here in 2013, didn't even have an account back then, just read this thread a bit, I was wearing mainly Our Legacy and other...

Any opinions on official Yohji shop? https://theshopyohjiyamamoto.com Do they ship with DHL express? How long until delivery? Taxes and customs fee are always applied, right? I'm from EU.

hey everyone, really want a yohji suit for some time - won an auction for this jacket today, so that's a start. What yohji pants should go well with this one to create proper loose fitting suit?

    ENGINEERED GARMENTS FW19

Yeah the design is getting simpler, less detailed and the quality is surely lower than it used to be. From last 3 seasons I returned about 6 or 7 items due to serious quality issues

I’m still not 100% sure on those pants tbh, look really good but the length would cause me headache. Too bad they aren’t a bit longer.

    ENGINEERED GARMENTS FW19

I can't say I don't like it, I just don't feel like I'll pull it off. Leopard print shoes maybe, but leopard printed fur is a bit too much for me.

Yeah it’s for sure a simple design, compared to highland parka for example. But the big silhouette makes the parka really great, works well layered over many layers or even other outerwear without looking bulky. Thanks, much appreciated.

My favourite EG outerwear piece, not really full of details like EG jackets used to be, but I feel EG is getting less and less detailed, but I really love the oversized fit and how versatile it is. I also higly recommend getting it in one of the wool fabrics, feels like wearing a portable home...
