I have both. I use the 256 bag as my daily work messenger bag. The 24 hour tin is my travel bag, which is great since it has the trolley strap and more pockets than the 256. If I could only pick one, I'd probably lean towards the 24 hour tin. It's just a more versatile bag and carries more.- heq206
