Crockett & Jones Harvard dark brown shell cordovan 11.5

Crockett & Jones Harvard loafers in dark brown Horween Shell Cordovan, size 11.5 UK. Thin rubber outsoles attached by experienced cobbler Skomaker Dagestad in Oslo. A new pair is currently 640 GBP from Crockett and Jones. I'm selling this pair with a heavy heart because I bought them half a...

The unofficial Drake's London Appreciation Thread

I didn't pay the measurements too much attention, but the ones I checked did seem to be correct. Do bear in mind that these don't fit like the vast majority of jeans. Most jeans rest around your hips and need the waist to be fairly tight to stay up (IMO). However these (I find) fit generously...

The unofficial Drake's London Appreciation Thread

I recently picked up both the ecru and the 14.6oz. Can't really comment on the sizing as I've lost some weight and most of my other trousers are altered. Just came here to say they are both amazing garments. Really hard to find above-waist jeans like this, and the fit and fabric choices are...

Really keen on the Drake's pebble grain belts, but all except the tan one are virtually sold out. Can anyone suggest alternatives with a similar construction and buckle? Suede works too.

    Shorts and derbys?

Just a quick update on my predicament. I decided to man up and give loafers another try. I went with mid-brown suede Morjas penny loafer as I like their styling and they seem like good value. I went with 11. Both these and my old (too big) C&J Harvards fit true to size, so the Morjas ones are...

    Shorts and derbys?

maxalex, when it's hot I'll wear shorts around town with no shame. ;) Very common where I live and I don't mind the look. Espadrilles are a good suggestion though, thanks. robxznyc, I do wear arch supports in all my shoes, but even then my feet are often too low for the instep! Not crazy about...

    Shorts and derbys?

norsefanboi thanks. I'm not really into the mocassin or boat shoe styles personally. Maybe I should try harder to find a loafer that fits. I suspect a light-coloured suede derby would look OK with shorts, but they'd be hard to pair with most of my trousers.

    Shorts and derbys?

Hey all. I'm a relatively new menswear enthusiast with really low arches, especially my left foot, and have a really hard time finding loafers that fit. I'm thinking of what to wear this summer. My go-to shorts on warm days is a pair of sand-coloured single-pleated chino shorts. Loafers would...

High-rise trousers; Good RTW or reasonably-priced MTM in London or Oslo?

Cool! Would love to see some photos once it's done.

High-rise trousers; Good RTW or reasonably-priced MTM in London or Oslo?

Sure did. I actually went back and bought another deadstock pair in the same cut and size. The second pair is in a lightweight light grey flannel. Love the shop just on the basis of the product and service, and it's a bonus to be able to support a small local business IMO.

High-rise trousers; Good RTW or reasonably-priced MTM in London or Oslo?

I went by Quy's shop, and wow! Tiny shop, big style. He's got fabrics like Fox Bros, Loro Piana etc, and some nice house cuts. I wasn't keen on the SS19 RTW trouser fabrics, but he happened to have a deadstock pair of brown brushed cotton pleated trousers which were almost exactly what I was...

High-rise trousers; Good RTW or reasonably-priced MTM in London or Oslo?

Cool, thanks for the tip! That's not far from where I live, will definitely stop by the shop and check the products out. Not crazy about seersucker personally, but the cut looks nice.

High-rise trousers; Good RTW or reasonably-priced MTM in London or Oslo?

This Pantaloni Torino trouser on The Rake is very close to what I had in mind in terms of the cut, however it's wool rather than cotton. It's damn nice-looking though, might give it a try.

High-rise trousers; Good RTW or reasonably-priced MTM in London or Oslo?

@norMD I did check out Berg & Berg and I like some of their styles. Can anyone comment on the quality of the trousers though? My only experience with them is I ordered a 7-fold tie that was IMHO very poorly folded, but could have been unlucky I guess. I've read a bit on Permanent Style, however...

High-rise trousers; Good RTW or reasonably-priced MTM in London or Oslo?

@norMD thanks for the welcome, and the suggestions. :) Incidentally I actually stopped by Cavour last week and talked to Kevin! I regret not going for their MTM last week as they had a campaign going. I figured I'm sure I'll find something RTW online, but after literally hours of searching I've...

High-rise trousers; Good RTW or reasonably-priced MTM in London or Oslo?

Hi Styleforum people. :) On my journey into classic menswear I've found I gravitate more and more towards higher-waisted trousers. My current favourite is a pair of Drake's cotton/wool chinos with a 29 cm (about 11.5 inches) rise, and a 34-inch waist. I wouldn't mind going a cm or two higher...

Help a newbie find the perfect button-down everyday shirt

Just casual stuff, jeans and casual trousers. If I'm dressing a bit more formally I'll go with a white shirt, but I rarely dress formally. Don't get me wrong, I love white/light-coloured shirts for casual wear as well.

Help a newbie find the perfect button-down everyday shirt

Hi Styleforum, this is my first post. I've had quite a few button-down shirts over the years, but I was rarely quite happy with the fabric or the fit. At age 38 I've decided to grow up and put some research into my next purchase. I'm 187 cm and pretty slim, and I always tend to go with Medium...
