    Hickey Freeman 42R suit

Hi. I purchased this suit and before getting to wear it more than twice, lost a significant amount of weight and it no longer fits. I think it is an excellent piece, and hope someone else would enjoy it. Pants are pleated and tailored to a 34x32 length. I believe it had a retail price of $600...

    Poor man's watch thread

Feel the same way as you... would snap up one or two Parnis if they had 40mm face. Are there any substitutes in the $100-$150 range?

    Need your opinion

I think this feels very good in general. The shoulders are a bit on the tight side when I reach, but I think it's the fabric. Appreciate the feedback - and will post up pics of my next coat when I get one.

    Need your opinion

Would a wider shoulder improve that, or is it function of the fabric? Sportcoats with similar measurements seem to have a 19.5" shoulder, so I'm wondering if a larger shoulder would make the issue worse or better... Here are the current measurements of this one: Chest 22 3/4" Waist 21"...

    Need your opinion

Would love some opinions on the fit here. I think this is my best fitting sportcoat, and would like to use these measurements for similar purchases - but what does the hivemind think? http://imgur.com/a/rn0iV/all

    Shortening a Topcoat?

I have topcoats that are above the knee, but the coats I like and wear the most are below the knee. Below the knee has the practical benefit of providing more protection from bad weather and cold. Definitely true. However, I've also noticed that longer coats can be a bit tricky in bad weather...

PSA: LL Bean Insulated Comfort Mocs, Men's $19+ FS

You mean you'd wear them for walking from your chair to the in-office clothes/shoes storage space? That doesn't sound like a value proposition, even at $19. I actually store my in-office shoes atop a mountain to reduce moisture.

    First dress shoe: good deal?

I recently got PA's as my first "nice" dress shoe as well, they are great. Be sure you are getting a size small enough, my PA's are size 10D but I normally wear a 11.5 sneaker.
