    The Look goes on...

Your right. The "identikit Mod" is the image most people have of modernist culture. I was too young to be a part of the first mod revival but things like Madchester/Acid Jazz were around which also had an influence on my early style. My older brother had a copy of the Richard Barnes book and I...

    The Look goes on...

I'd say its difficult to define but I''ll have a go as I see it. For me, 'the look' has subtle elements of 1960's mod style but doesn't make the wearer look like they're trying too hard. As is often said "good taste never goes out of style" - its a way of dressing which doesn't tend to date and...

    The Look goes on...

Thanks TWD. I'm in Northern Thailand so its very hot and humid for 9 months of the year. Shorts are worn most of the time so everything else worn needs to work around that. My wardrobe consists of lots of seersucker/madras short-sleeve BD, polo, riviera/resort shirts etc. that can be worn with...

    The Look goes on...

As a long-time lurker of this thread I'll give my two-penneth by way of an introduction. I regularly check this thread as, for my tastes anyway, its where the most stylish fits and clothing info seems to reside. I appreciate the way the posters here combine elements of classic modernist (for...

Best dress shoe types and style with jeans

Personally, I'd prefer that henley over a regular t-shirt. There's just something very casual about collarless shirts - for me they'd only ever be worn with shorts and sneakers. Or as an undershirt. Just my opinion. Your shoes and pants would look good with something like this IMO...

Best dress shoe types and style with jeans

A t-shirt is an undergarment. This would look much better with a fitted polo or regular short-sleeved shirt.

    Sea Island

Sunspel also do a knitted polo in SI cotton and a few other pieces. I've worn one of those polo's and the fit, quality and feel was excellent. It's worth subscribing to their email newletter as they have occasional sales. https://www.sunspel.com/row/mens/sea-island-cotton.html

FRIDAY CHALLENGE 15 Nov 2019 - 'Show Us the Cut of your Jib - Casual Style'

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. This is the best I could put together here in Thailand - nearly all of my cool weather clobber is back in blighty. It's a fair representation of my look/cut-of-my-jib - when in cooler climes anyway.
