Looks like [G&G] is Making Paul Stuart Shoes

Its supposedly down to 3-4 months. I placed an order a few wks ago and will report back when they're finished PS: you can ask Nick at Bespoke England. He should have an up-to-date estimate Sounds like it. Anyone know the current wait for MTO? My last pair was 7 months, but that was about a year...

    John Lobb Shoe Fit:

Actually, the John Lobb E is indeed the rough equivalent of a US D. see link below for sizing chart. Ditto for C&J. With some other makers the F is a US D, but not with Lobb. http://us.estore.johnlobb.com/popup/shoes.html You're incorrect and I also suggest you get your feet measured...

Money Never Sleeps sartorial critique thread

If I had to do a primer for dressing for success on Wall Street, it would go as follows: 1 - Trader: golf shirt from an exclusive, upscale club - preferably Shinnecock: http://tinyurl.com/273qrve . Oversized, billowy dress pants - two pleats minimum. Gucci loafers. Croc belt if you're feeling...

My God, I hate the windsor knot

That's the only collar with which the Windsor isn't wholly inappropriate. But even with a cutaway collar, the four-in-hand is generally the best option. i personally prefer the shelby/pratt knot with a cutaway or wide spread. It fills a bit more space than a four-in-hand yet is smaller than a...

Best tailor in Boston area? any reccomendations?

who will cut working button holes in Boston? What has the world come to? Do I need to travel to New York? You might also try Raymond Personal Tailor on Federal St. He does bespoke so there is an excellent chance that he does button holes.

Best tailor in Boston area? any reccomendations?

Another one worth checking out is Raymond Personal Tailor (also does bespoke) in the Financial DIstrict at 160 Federal. He trained on Savile Row and has an excellent eye for detail.

RLBL lapel puckers out ever so slightly--fixable?

I can't rule out a pressing fix but a low shoulder could certainly cause this issue, or at least that's the culprit with me. When my tailor adds a slight amount of padding to my right shoulder, the jacket lies perfectly flat I happened to be at a tailor's for a trunk show last night and was...

Opinion: Is the RLBL Anthony suit suitable for business attire?

As long as its not skin tight it shouldn't be an issue I work in investment banking and have no issues wearing RLBL. In fact, I receive numerous compliments. But YMMV

Charles Tyrwhitt Shirt Sale - 2/$100

Can you link me to a Golden Fleece BB shirt on their website? I've shopped there a lot and never saw a Golden Fleece dress shirt. Sorry I just edited my post. I confused the luxury fit with GF.

Charles Tyrwhitt Shirt Sale - 2/$100

I think you may be mistaken or just typed the above in error. The 180's are dress shirts where as the Golden Fleece refers the BB's polo shirts. BB's Black Fleece collection of shirts is few and they have more of a casual look then dress. . I think he's referring to the luxury fit shirts (which...

Best tailor in Boston area? any reccomendations?

Another to try is Benny Ho. He was Louis's in-house tailor for years and now has his own shop out in green line territory. He is between Jack and Joe in terms of price, but is a honest, nice man and does great work. Sadly Benny is now retired. +1 on Frank's and Jack's. Rizzo is a very nice...

    Brooks Brothers catalog

I saw it last night and came away wanting to try out a Golden Fleece suit. I know others on here have said that some of the Golden Fleece are made by Caruso, but the catalog indicated they were all made in USA. The ones in the catalog (and on the website) are indeed USA-made. However the Golden...
