    Workout Regimen

    Starting Strength by Mark Rippletoe is a good way to start. The heavy emphasis on squats will help your lower body work early on. At the very least it will get you comfortable with the main compound lifts, so if you want to switch programs later on you will have a good foundation to build on.

    State dressed to a higher standard than the rest of government? Seriously? I've been to Foggy Bottom many times for meetings - State'ies are almost always the worst dressed in the room. For whatever reason DoD, especially the GS-13 and under crowd, tend to be way better dressed.
