Love my jacket. Hate all white shoes. Agreed on too tonal!

Hah. No. That’s too samey samey samey for my sensibilities) And assumes I’d ever spend $1000 for jeans. (Not that I haven’t considered the p13 tight fit. They look great..: save for the drop crotch. IMHO.)

The What Are You Wearing Today (WAYWT) Discussion Thread, Part II

It's been years since I posted to WAYWT, and my style has changed a lot. Jacket: Boris Bidjan Saberi Jeans: Gustin Shoes: Boris Bidjan Saberi Fwiw, I think the look is almost too grayscale. Would probably look better with coal black pants. Open to suggestions!

The Official Artisanal "streetwear" footwear (boots, shoes, sandals) thread (Guidi, CCP, Augusta, M.

Two topics today. Wanted to share my sale of some Boris Bidjan Saberi mainline Bamba 1s, and also have a question about protecting sneaker soles. First the sale. I bought size 44, and walked around in them for about 1/2 mile before developing a blister. They're too big. I'm between a size 43...

Boris Bidjan Saberi mainline Bamba 1 high-top sneakers, object dyed light grey

These are size 44 Bamba 1 Boris Bidjan Saberi mainline sneakers from the AW19 collection. Kangaroo leather. Object dyed. Silver-tipped laces. Removable insoles. Unfortunately, I should have gone with a size 43, as they are too big for me at size 44. Turns out they actually fit true to size, but...

Welll... it's an inch at the highest point (top of arch support) but the heel lift is about 1/2 inch, so correct what I wrote above. These are custom insoles designed to fix pronation (see attached). I go without them in sneakers that already have really strong arch support, but these work...

The Official Artisanal "streetwear" footwear (boots, shoes, sandals) thread (Guidi, CCP, Augusta, M.

Hmmm. That's helpful info. I never thought that the idea was to add one's own insole. Just trying to be super careful, because processing returns is a PITA, and often costly, and some retailers just won't to a standard refund, or even returns at all.

The Official Artisanal "streetwear" footwear (boots, shoes, sandals) thread (Guidi, CCP, Augusta, M.

Need some advice on how people deal with insoles -- specifically, making artisan boots work with custom insoles. I have found that sneakers with removable insoles are my best bet (which is why I'm interested in the Boris Bamba 1s). I have also ripped out flimsy, barely glued-on sneaker insoles...

Sorry, I have tried finding a function to actually search this thread for the info I need, but I can't find a way to do this. A few questions about Boris Bidjan Saberi mainline Bamba1s. 1) Does anyone know if the mainline Bamba1s fit true to size? 2) Any thoughts, pros, cons, whatever on the...

For F's sake. I post my comment about the imperfect stich, only to catch up on the thread and see I channeled msg by accident. Agree!

First, thanks for the comment! Second, Frank Cowperwood sounds very Deadwood. Appreciate you rolling with the theme. Third, I get what you're saying, and here's how I process the dissonance: Like the Persian rug that needs an "imperfect" stitch, I would never wear the Visvims if they were truly...

*** Visvim thread: Dissertation on a Japanese Holy Spirit ***

Postscript to my post above (and thanks to @Fycus for replying). I did a bunch of research, asking Grailed sellers and Mr Porter about FBT sizing and the footbed sitch. There was no consensus on size (some said they run small, some said large), and Mr Porter described "the sole is relatively...

*** Visvim thread: Dissertation on a Japanese Holy Spirit ***

Thinking of pulling the trigger on a pair of FBTs... if I can find the right size on Grailed, and if I can even determine my correct size. 1) Is it basically conventional wisdom that the FBTs run a 1/2 size too large -- like if you normally wear 10.5, get a 10? 2) Can someone explain the...

The What Are You Wearing Today (WAYWT) Discussion Thread, Part II

I just did a visual survey of the last 4-6 pages of posts, and it looks like at least half the jeans and jeans-adjacent pants are cuffed--and most of them looked good, and not affected. That said, when you have boot or similarly loose-cut jeans, I would just let the cuffing fall naturally on the...
