Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

Ah that's interesting. They are a Factory shoe though, so possibly made wrong or something similar. They are definitely cordovan - advised by a couple of the cutters and closers at the factory who were helping with the sale. At least they were priced, sold and bought as such!

Amazing spot! Yes, I think that's the shoe. I didn't get the lasted trees, but they were embarrassingly cheap just for the shoes and so I was more than happy to skulk off a very happy guy.

Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

I thought I'd share a little pic of the others I was lucky to find on Saturday: 1. Piccadilly; unlined in brown english grain 2. Dover; mink suede 3. Belgravia; burgundy cordovan 😎 They're so helpful there, too. Highly recommend a trip at any time to the factory shop, and especially so...

Oh wow - that would be amazing. I'm sure there were a couple more like that hidden away behind the door - I wish I'd had a longer look! I've never had a top-drawer shoe from EG, so maybe this is the one and only I'll have 😆

Thanks jellyroller, I was wondering the same

Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

I managed to pick up a few pairs from the Factory shop sale on Saturday to add to the collection, and one pair has got me intrigued. It's a lazyman, which I know is not a current shoe, but the waist is quite different to typical EG, and the black sole is also something I haven't seen before...

@PairOfDerby's Ha! Yeah fair - I should rephrase - I'm in Newcastle (fun), for a brother in law's secret 40th (not as much) 😆

Ah yeah good point... (I don't know the answer, btw!)

Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

Last time (earlier this year) it was something like: c.£300-£400 for shoes/loafers c.£400-£600 for anything with hand-stitching (e.g. Dover) c.£600-£800 for boots Or something like that - I picked up a few pairs and chose not to look at the card machine 😅 Any body offering to proxy? I suspect...

@montecristo#2 Stamford? I have heard the hatch grains can be a bit stiffer initially - hope you get through that stage sooner rather than later and can start enjoying them.

Thanks @ericgereghty Fortunately eBay have stepped in and facilitated a return 👍

Another recommendation to keep the same size for lined/unlined. I've got lined and unlined Belgravias both in the same size; and a 'prototype' unlined Banbury (yes, sounds like a Shanklin but apparently it isn't!). I find the unlined version(s) are generally more comfortable - more flexible...

    Ring Jacket

Hi all I'm not that active on this particular thread, but do occasionally contribute on some of the shoe threads. I have a few RJ jackets, but have just taken delivery of a Meister jacket, bought from eBay (don't judge!), that I'm not particularly happy with and would appreciate some help from...

Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

I did manage to get there, and came away with a couple of nice pick-ups I think. The suede boots were described to me as a prototype 'unlined Banbury', but they are extremely similar to the Shanklin! The stitching is a little different, but hey, it's a mink suede boot and so it'll get a load of...

Anyone been over there today? I'm hoping to swing by, but it's already getting late and I'll probably not be there until 3pm 😬

@unprocessed Definitely go for the UCs. I've got this boot (chestnut grain, sq deco last) and as @saurabh says, they are quite unique.

Pics 'hot off the press' from Simon in the Savile Row store. Picking them up on Friday (was a June MTO order) so will happily post more pics if anyone is interested?! FYI - Hove in brown english grain, on the square deco last; and a bit of polish
