The Official Artisanal "streetwear" footwear (boots, shoes, sandals) thread (Guidi, CCP, Augusta, M.

I find mine a shade "clunky"... I'd consider going with a narrow shaft, they should stretch. No opinion on the different smooth horses (I have full grain 995s, and it's a great leather). I would not recommend the reverse leather. Mine have actually fallen apart.

I am a big fan of many of these, but I do think that the C-shape high boot is the perfect realization of the Avantindietro aesthetic. I preferred the AV_Fields to the original model, but these just seem to capture the best of all worlds. I would love to see more images (I've seen the one on...

The Official Artisanal "streetwear" footwear (boots, shoes, sandals) thread (Guidi, CCP, Augusta, M.

I am always lurking this thread and taking it all in. Figured I'd give back a little bit. We always seem to see new pairs of AV_Fields posted, but the treatment of the leather is designed to break in and create some crazy effects with time (the "dust" on the shoes, the ease in the marking of the...

The Official Artisanal "streetwear" footwear (boots, shoes, sandals) thread (Guidi, CCP, Augusta, M.

I've worn a pair of AV_F derbies almost every day for 1.5 years. I think wormwood's right that the construction isn't perfect -- especially in the heel, which is thin and too pliable. On the other hand, they do hold shape very well on the front end and they become extremely comfortable. The...

Another pair of AV_Fields. I find my derbies get more wear than any other of my shoes, so best to build in that direction. I've dropped my Carpes to $400. Pretty great deal at this point. I'd do $600 for both the Carpes and the MA+ (a 42.5-43 can pull them both off, albeit with an insole...

Thought the Carpe Diem Linen Over Leathers that I'm trying to sell might generate some interest here (apologize/feel free to delete if posting links like this is bad form): http://supertalk.superfuture.com/index.php/topic/159065-48-hour-sale-carpe-diem-zam-barrett-ma-cloak/

***The official Alden thread *** Share enthusiasm, reviews, sizing, advice, and photos.

I just purchased a pair of AF53's and it looks like there's a puncture hole in the cordovan on the back of the right boot. I asked at the DC Alden store and was told this is typical of their boots. I've never seen anything like this on any Aldens, has anyone ever had something like this with...
