I’ve been MIA the last year but with everything going on thought it’d be good to check in. Hope all’s well with you guys in these times. I’m considered an essential healthcare worker so I’m still full time. Trying my best to balance “the look” with the needs of my job. Quick snapshot taken on my...

Actually, I'm pretty sure they're named after the 1964 Olympics in Japan. They're a variation of the Rom (Rome) which was introduced in the 1960 Games in Italy. The Rom still gets reproduced pretty regularly in varying forms, but all are the 1970's iteration.

On a similar vein I'm going to throw a lot of money Adidas' way the moment they announce they'll be reproducing the Japan trainer again.

Cummins was really embracing the Indiana Jones villain vibe back then. This is off topic, but might be appreciated here. I recently bought a throwback 1966 WHU Bobby Moore shirt. The week it arrived I was about to throw it on to head to my local US second div. teams matches, but decided on the...

Fresno, the most beautiful gem in California's crown. Funny thing is I keep in contact with poster AngryYoungandPoor who lives 2 1/2 hours from me and that SOB is wearing knitwear most days.

We're on like our 25th consecutive day of triple digit weather. I haven't worn anything slightly respectable since its started. I have however looked like I signed a lucrative endorsement deal with Umbro.

Even though I have both in my closet, coming from cowboy country I can confirm that the bias against Wrangler (and to a much lesser extent Lee) being the sole domain of hayseed yokels. What further hurts their standing is they really debased their brand by selling **** quality products under the...

I was discussing this new jacket with Mr. K the other day in TLGO and actually had a chance to wear it and snag a pic of the fit yesterday. Since the rest of the ensemble is pretty solidly M2S material I'm going to go ahead and post it here. Topman, much like Uniqlo tends not to be cut for the...

Honestly, this look is 100% age appropriate, but I'm also about 3 decades M-O-M's junior and I'd still love to be able to pull off this suit as well as he does.

The nearest Top Shop is 200 miles away from us, but over here they also sell through Nordstrom's. It was at the local Nordstrom Rack, not sure if its a second or overstock. It's an XL because much like Uniqlo I have to size up a good deal to fit in anything of theirs.

My best friend just spent the last week there and in the Czech republic and was at the shows, hopefully I'm getting some "concert memorabilia" as souvenirs. I'm sure this item won't be to many of your tastes, especially with the "incorrect" details like jetted pockets and asymmetrical collar...

In my search for work appropriate footwear which means rubber soles I ended up picking up these Sebagos. Still not 100% sure if I'm happy with them. Hey Botolph, you in Deutschland right now? Let us know if you pick up any avant-gard rave gear while you're there.

To further muddy the waters the A-2 is also a bomber, so people won't always jump to the MA-1 style silhouette in their heads when they hear bomber.

Mr. K, I'm partial to these acorn monkey boots from solovair that are different enough from grafters to be considered a whole different animal. https://www.solovair-shoes.com/product/acorn-monkey-boot/

In the past few years I've seen a lot of "pre subcultulturally modified" items of clothing. Everything ranging from clueless celebrities buying motorcycle jackets prepainted with D-beat band logos to fast fashion denim jackets with parody trash and NWOBHM patches on it. I guess Ben Sherman...

Hands in pockets was a habit I was never allowed to develop. It would earn me a smack to the head as my dad always said the guy with his hands in his pockets was the guy who wasn't doing any work. I know Burberry house check is "marcam non grata" with most of you, but I found myself really...

Have a look about Ebay and you might come up on a good deal on some NOS pebble grain LWB's. I found quite a few of them earlier in the year. It seems with smooth being more popular the pebble grains had a higher chance of ending up as dead stock. I've been thinking of trying to nab some in...

I tried on a couple of things when I was in store and the fit looked comical on me. Their jeans are basically hosiery on me. Made me think of Chris Farley's "fat guy in a little coat" bit.
